"Coronavirus update.

As we know, the Omicron Variant is spreading rapidly and looks likely to cause problems in the new year.

Throughout all of the outbreaks to date, healthcare services (like Podiatry) have been encouraged to stay open to relieve pressure on NHS services. I will continue to do so.

I am able to help with all sorts of foot problems including minor injuries and infections including (especially) if you have diabetes or another condition that puts you at risk.

Every minor condition I can treat early and prevent the need for you to have to go to your GP or the hospital relieves pressure on the NHS at this difficult time. Where foot problems are concerned prevention really is better than cure, and a stitch in time really can save nine.

I will continue to take all possible measures to keep you safe. I shall use all appropriate PPE and unless you have a medical exemption, we require you to wear a mask when I am with you I am taking lateral flow tests at least twice a week. HOW CAN I MAKE SURE I AVOID HARD SKIN?

There are several ways to prevent the formation of hard skin on your feet:

Wear comfortable shoes that fit properly.
Respond to painful feet as soon as possible, this can indicate future problems.
Dry your feet properly after showering and bathing to ensure your skin remains healthy and beautiful.
Find a daily foot care routine that works for you. With minimal time and effort each day, your feet could always look and feel beautiful.
