Every student was able to take part in a sensory-rich experience when Sadie from the Fur and Feathers Falconry Centre visited with her beautiful birds, including a barn owl and hawk.🦉🦅

Sadie took time to meet each student’s individual needs, engaging at eye level to build connection and trust. She even brought the birds over to a student who needed space in a quiet part of the service.🩷

Students experienced the rush of air as wings flapped nearby, and one was inspired to call out to a bird by name, encouraging it to fly towards him.

The safe and supportive session offered something truly unique. Thank you, Sadie and the Falconry Centre!

Proud to help open the new Changing Places unit in Camberley town centre! Changing Places UK Surrey Heath

✅ New Changing Places Facility now open in Camberley town centre!

We’re proud to announce that Camberley now has its first Changing Places UK toilet, officially opened today by Surrey Heath Mayor, Cllr Louise Ashbery.

📍 Location: Lower deck of Main Square car park, near the Cosy Corner Café entrance and disabled parking area.

This facility provides extra space and specialist equipment – including a height-adjustable changing bench and a hoist – for people with disabilities who need more than a standard accessible toilet.

Cllr Kel Finan-Cooke, Portfolio Holder for Property and Economic Development, said: "This is about equity and dignity – making sure everyone can take part in community life and feel welcome in our borough."

Funded through the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL), this is a big step towards making Camberley inclusive for all.

This festive season, we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone for your support this year. 💖
In such a difficult climate, everything you do really does mean a lot. Every hour of volunteering, every donation big or small, and all the time spent getting to know students and staff at the day services. It helps ensure that young people and adults with multiple disabilities can keep accessing the specialist care and therapies they rely on, promoting their health and wellbeing, skills and connection with others. Your kindness also gives reassurance to families and brings us all towards a more inclusive, accessible community.
Thank you for making a genuine difference when it’s needed the most.
Wishing you peace, warmth, and happiness.
Best Wishes,
All at Parity 💖

Student Darren sat down with our digital media volunteer, Chloe and PR and Engagement Officer, Fleur, to share his exciting vision for a documentary he’s been dreaming of creating. 🎬

The first bits of filming took place and will be continued in the New Year.

Darren’s goal is to one day become a journalist and advocate for people with multiple disabilities, and Chloe is thrilled to help bring his ideas to life!✨

We were truly honoured to receive a £500 donation from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association as part of a beautifully organised evening in support of their charities.💙

The event included a tour of the Mubarak Mosque and a delicious meal. Photos and interviews provided a chance to highlight the real difference the Association’s support makes within our community. We also appreciated the opportunity to connect with many of the amazing people in attendance and further raise Parity’s profile.

Our heartfelt thanks to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association for their incredible generosity and warm hospitality.🙌
