Today was a truly special day, as we celebrated Dorothy’s incredible 99th birthday 🎉

It was such a joy to mark this wonderful milestone with her. One of our lounges was beautifully decorated for the occasion, we also added photos of Dorothy from different stages of her life, which sparked lovely conversations and memories throughout the day.

Everyone gathered together to sing Happy Birthday, making the moment even more memorable.

Of course, no celebration would be complete without cake, and this one didn’t disappoint! A huge chocolate cake was shared and enjoyed by all, adding a sweet touch to a very happy day.

What made the celebration even more meaningful was the presence of Sylvia, another one of our lovely residents, who joined us to celebrate.
Dorothy and Sylvia were neighbours for many years, so it was incredibly heart warming to see them together again on such a special occasion. Sylvia kindly brought Dorothy a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

Moments like these remind us how important connection, friendship, and shared memories are.

Our St George’s Day celebrations have been full of creativity and fun!

Our residents have been busy making their own dragons and knights to mark the occasion, and it’s been lovely to see everyone getting involved and enjoying the activity together.

To celebrate National Tea Day today, we did things a little differently with our tea trolley ☕

Our residents had the chance to try a range of new and interesting tea varieties, making it a fun and interactive experience for everyone.

Earl Grey proved to be a big favourite, while ginger and lemon… not quite as popular! It certainly sparked plenty of conversation and a few laughs along the way.

Today was extra special at Red Rose as we had a delightful little helper join us.
We had the pleasure of meeting Eva, Nancy's granddaughter, a truly lovely little girl.

Our "messy bakers" whipped up a scrumptious Victoria sponge, while Eva baked some beautiful cupcakes for her parents. It's moments like these, filled with sweetness and family, that make our days so bright!

The weather may not have been the best so far this week, but that hasn’t stopped us!

Wrapped up warm, our residents still enjoyed getting out for a stroll and taking in the local scenery. There’s nothing like a bit of fresh air to lift the spirits, and we even spotted a little glimpse of blue sky!

It’s these simple moments, getting outdoors and enjoying nature together, that make such a difference 💛

What a fantastic morning we’ve had! 🎶

We were delighted to welcome the very talented James Fry, who had the whole room buzzing, it was a full house! Many of our residents are big fans, and they loved singing along to the classic hits.

From Elvis to Frank Sinatra, there was truly something for everyone, and the atmosphere was full of joy, music, and plenty of smiles 💛

We can’t wait to have James back again soon!

We had a fantastic time on Saturday getting into the spirit of the Grand National 🐎🎉

Our residents took part in a fun sweepstake, each randomly picking their horse, which made the big race even more exciting to watch! There was plenty of cheering, laughter, and a great sense of anticipation as the race unfolded.

A wonderful afternoon full of fun and friendly competition.
