Mid week gratitudes; blue sky, tulips in bloom and the orange man’s madness didn’t cause WWIII to break out last night. I’m taking those all as wins and will be enjoying the birdsong in the garden with a coffee before it gets too hot for my pale northern skin. What’s making you smile today?

Social pressures, financial pressures, family conflict. These things can start to affect your wellbeing and snowball into something bigger.

But you’re not alone.

We’re here to support you in the lead up to Christmas and afterwards. Our Support Line is open until 2pm on Wednesday 24 December and reopens again on Monday 29 December.

It’s World Mental Health Day and so I’m wearing yellow in support of Young Minds and also to lift my own spirit as it’s hard not to smile more when you’re wearing bright yellow dungarees even if you do look a bit like a minion! What one thing can you do today to bring a smile to your face or to give you a moment of joy?

This year’s theme for Mental Health Awareness Day is access to services. If you’ve ever needed to seek support and access services for either yourself or a family member you’ll know just how difficult it can be. Finding the strength to ask for help is hard enough in itself but then you’re hit with obscenely long waiting lists. For those of you battling the system, you are not alone and I send much love and strength your way. Early help is always cited as being crucial, yet it is often the hardest thing to access. If you would like any tips on looking after your own mental health or want to know how you can best help a loved one please drop me a message. Sending sunshine vibes and much love to you all xx
