I did it! Completed La Marmotte cycle race, taking on 4 major alpine cols in the French Alpes in one ride. 7500 riders of which 6% were women.
It was, as anticipated, brutal…. The heat on the climbs was intense, 🥵 the climbs gruelling but the scenery breathtaking! I completed with an official finish time 11h:31, exhausted, tearful but elated… and broken! 😃

I did it! Completed the epic 112 mile Fred Whitton challenge in a very respectable 09:30 hours (including cake stops of course!)Even stopped for a photo!! Regarded as the toughest cycle sportive in the UK,The climbs (and the descents 😱) were brutal but the ride was stunningly beautiful. Perfect weather for it too 😎

Had my massage this week and picked up my race no. For the Fred Whitton Challenge tomorrow - one of the UK’s most gruelling cycle sportives!
Should be a beautiful ride if the weather stays as forecast! 😎 🚴
