We would like to send huge congratulations to one of our fantastic Rehabilitation Assistants, Abeera Sher, following her graduation ceremony last week. Abeera gained her Master’s in Public Health at the University of Northampton, following her Bachelor's in Doctor of Physiotherapy. Additionally, Abeera is now a registered physiotherapist.

Our RAs work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide daily information on their client's progress, which is essential for case managers.

** Community First Aid/Emergency Care Course **

Our training academy will soon be providing short sessions open to all covering the following topics:

Managing an emergency
Assessment of an unresponsive casualty
The Recovery Position
Resuscitation of Adults, Children and Babies
Use of an Automated External Defibrillator
Choking
Bleeding
Anaphylaxis and Seizures

These sessions will be run by one of our pre-hospital care tutors. The informal, relaxed, and engaging sessions will provide much-needed confidence in coping with medical emergencies.

The sessions will be run at our training centres located in Farnham and Guildford and will be open to all who would like to attend.
