All funds raised from the cake sale will go towards our 2026 Walk for Alzheimer’s fundraising goal, so come along, enjoy a sweet treat, and show your support for our Ashton Manor walking team ahead of the Trek 13 challenge in May.

We have been lucky enough to enjoy some lovely sunny days at Ashton Manor, and we couldn’t be happier. ☀️

Our residents have been thrilled to spend some time outside in our garden, enjoying the sunshine, beautiful skies, and first signs of spring. We are all looking forward to many more days enjoying our lovely garden or exploring the local area.

Now that spring has officially arrived, our residents can’t wait to enjoy more sunny weather and see all the beautiful flowers and wildlife that fill our garden at this time of year. 🐝🌷🐦‍⬛🪻

The Ashton Manor team came together to celebrate our team member, Sangita, with a baby shower at the home. 🥳🎁

Sangita is going on maternity leave this month, ahead of welcoming her new arrival very soon! Before we say goodbye (temporarily) to Sangita, we wanted to celebrate this special time in her life with a baby shower with her Ashton Manor family and present her with some gifts from the team.

Congratulations to Sangita and her family. We will miss seeing you at the home every day, but we are excited to meet your new arrival soon!

Our residents have been getting creative with some papercraft activities recently in our arts and crafts sessions. ✂️✏️

They have enjoyed making 3D crafts with coloured paper, including paper chains to decorate the home for our various celebrations, and some brilliant 3D paper clovers in preparation for St Patrick’s Day.

At Ashton Manor, we like to encourage residents to express their creativity with various artistic activities. Our residents find these arts and crafts sessions fun and engaging, and enjoy spending some time relaxing while working on their own artistic projects (with the help of our staff whenever needed).

Last week, some of the members of the Ashton Manor team met with staff from our sister homes in Surrey for the Beritaz Care staff orientation day.

They met at the Hog’s Back Hotel in Farnham for a day of learning and inspiration. The team had the opportunity to hear from Beritaz management about the company’s values and ethos, as well as hear from colleagues and residents about their experience with Beritaz Care and what makes the homes different. Staff had the opportunity to ask questions about the company’s future and engage in interesting discussions with colleagues from other Beritaz Care homes.

This was a really valuable and interesting day for the Ashton Manor team; everyone left feeling educated and inspired. Thank you to Beritaz Care for hosting this event and to our Surrey-based colleagues for making this such a great day.

Taking place every Friday at 2pm, we would love to have members of our local community join us for a delicious Fish & Chips lunch at Ashton Manor. If you are interested in coming along, please RSVP by Wednesday of each week by calling us on 01252 899801 or emailing ashtonmanor@beritazcare.co.uk.

Open to individuals ages 65 or over. Transport can be arranged please provide sufficient notice if you require transport. Donations are voluntary. Please make us aware of any allergies and intolerances in advance.

At Beritaz Care, we understand that nothing benefits the mind and body quite like a good night’s sleep. 🛌😴 Quality sleep plays an important part in the health and wellness of the residents within our homes.

Today is World Sleep Day, an event aimed at raising awareness of the importance of sleep health. The theme of World Sleep Day 2026 is ‘Sleep well, live better’, encouraging everyone to take steps to prioritise their sleep routine to benefit their overall health.

On World Sleep Day, we are sharing how we prioritise sleep health as part of our care service, and why good sleep matters for our residents. Sleep health is a key factor in the holistic approach to care we take within our homes. Residents’ sleep quality, preferences, and any negative sleep factors are all included in the personalised care plans developed for each individual. The staff within our homes do everything they can to support sleep health, from helping residents to establish good sleep routines that work for them to making sure the home environment is conducive to a good night’s sleep.

The Ashton Manor walking team has started training, ready to take on the Alzheimer’s Society Trek13 challenge in May! 🥾

The brilliant volunteers from our Ashton Manor staff will be taking on the sponsored 13-mile trek around London, all in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society and the fantastic work that they do. We see firsthand the impact Alzheimer’s and dementia have on our residents and their families. The team have been inspired to take on this challenge and do their bit to support the Alzheimer's Society and everything they do to make life better for those impacted by the disease. It’s been a busy start to the year at Ashton Manor, and we’ve had the privilege of helping several of our residents celebrate their birthdays over the past few months. 🥳🎂🎁

We want to make sure our residents always enjoy a special birthday, whether that’s spent with their families, enjoying their favourite things, or celebrating at the home with their friends.

One thing we always ensure is that they get to blow out the candles on their own beautiful birthday cake, freshly made by our chefs.

Ray was delighted to be presented with his birthday cake, blowing out the candles to the cheers of his fellow residents and our staff. Brenda enjoyed opening presents from her family on her birthday and was thrilled with the thoughtful gifts.

It is an honour and a joy to share these special moments with our residents, and we always do everything we can to make sure they enjoy their big day! 🥳

Today is International Women’s Day and we are celebrating all the incredible women who are part of the Beritaz Care community. 👩🏻👩🏽👵🏼👩🏼

From our management team to the care and support staff working in our home, the brilliant entertainers and community members that support us, and, of course, the wonderful women that we have the privilege of caring for. We are honoured to be surrounded by these women who bring so much wisdom, kindness and strength into the home, and inspire us every single day.
