This week marks National Grief Awareness Week, a time to recognise that grief touches every life and that no one should have to face loss alone.

At Memoria, we meet families at some of the hardest moments they will ever experience. We see first-hand that grief is deeply personal, different for everyone, and does not run to a timetable. There is no “right” or “wrong” way to grieve only your way.

If you or someone you know is struggling, support is available. This week, we are joining others across the UK to highlight the help that exists for anyone affected by loss. The Good Grief Trust provides a comprehensive directory of bereavement support services offering emotional, practical and specialist help.

Join us for Light a Candle for a Loved One, a peaceful and heartfelt service where families can take a quiet moment to reflect and honour cherished memories during this special time of year.
Everyone is welcome - whether your loved one’s service took place with us or elsewhere.

Up and down the country, our sites have been carefully prepared to offer a fitting tribute to those who have fallen in conflict. 🌺

This Sunday, as people pause to reflect, we too remember the extraordinary bravery and sacrifice of so many - those who gave everything so that others could live in peace.

We will remember them.

Myself and our lovely team had the pleasure of meeting Deborah, Executive Director of Revival Food & Mood today and presenting a cheque for £5000, to help with their amazing work in the local community. This has been donated by Memoria Faversham & Mid Kent Memorial Park & Crematorium from money raised from the ICCM - Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management recycling metals scheme. Deborah also presented us with our Gold Revival Champions Certificate.
We are proud to support another great local charity and look forward to working with them.

Yesterday, we had the absolute honour of hosting a training day for some of the amazing volunteers who support Holding On Letting Go in their fantastic work. What a phenomenal bunch they are.
At the end of their training, we also had the pleasure of presenting a cheque for £5000 to Debbie, Clinical Lead and founder member. This was donated by us at Memoria Faversham & Mid Kent Memorial Park & Crematorium, from the ICCM - Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management recycling metals scheme and will go towards helping Holding On Letting Go, support children, young people and their families going through bereavement. We are very proud to support such a great charity.
