🛠️ What you’ll be doing
• Keeping our grounds neat and welcoming – mowing, gardening, small projects
• Fixing day-to-day repairs & helping keep the home safe and looking great
• Checking alarms, lighting, heating and H&S equipment
• Working with the team, contractors and getting involved across the home

✨ What we’d love to see from you
• DIY or labouring / handyman experience
• Happy to learn and follow step-by-step tasks
• Friendly, reliable, and works well with others
• Full UK driver’s licence (must-have)

Avante Care and Support Ltd is looking for an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join our Head Office team and support the financial operations of our care homes across Kent and South East London.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll work closely with managers across the business and supervise a small finance team.

💼 What you’ll be doing:

Supporting the financial operations of our care homes

Managing monthly management accounts

Handling AP/AR functions, making sure everything is accurate and compliant

Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management

Producing KPIs, analysis and financial reports

Supervising staff (4 Finance Assistants)

Supporting internal and external audits

Working with managers to help them understand and manage their budgets

👤 About you:

At least 4 years’ experience in a finance role

AAT qualified (or equivalent) – study support available

Confident with management accounts, AP/AR, budgeting and reporting

Strong Excel skills

Comfortable supervising staff and working to deadlines

Full UK driving licence (occasional travel required)

A DBS check will be required due to the care environment.
