Wandering what exercise to do when you’re pregnant?

A woman’s body is amazing the way it naturally adapts and changes to a growing baby inside.

Taking care of our bodies is important to be able to adapt to these natural changes with ease and comfort. It is also important to prepare our bodies for labour, childbirth and the postpartum period during this time.

A few things that are important in pregnancy:
⭐️ Strengthening
⭐️ Stability
⭐️ Control
⭐️ Lengthening / Flexibility
⭐️ Mobility
⭐️ Relaxation
⭐️ Pelvic Floor Control
⭐️ Pelvic Floor Release
⭐️ Mindfulness
⭐️ Breathing
⭐️ Calming our Nervous System
⭐️ Energy
⭐️ Endorphines

Pilates encompasses all of the above.

We are now offering physio-led pregnancy Pilates in the comfort of your own home led by our specialist perinatal physiotherapist

It tackles any postnatal issues and symptoms such as heaviness, leaking, aches and pains.

It also is designed for you to understand how and when to safely and effectively progress towards your goals.

Nature and friendship both have a profound impact on our mind and body.

Take a moment to get out in the fresh air today, rain or shine. Even if it is just for a couple of minutes of your day.

Take 3 deep breaths through your nose in to the bases of your lungs and hold that breath for a second or two before exhaling gently through your mouth and feel your body release as you do so.

We only use the top 3rd of our lung capacity in normal day-to-day breathing. Utilise the bases of your lungs today and help energise and fuel your whole body.
