Macmillan Coffee Morning 💚☕️

Macmillan is a charity close to my heart as I lost my dad to lung cancer back in 2014 when he was only 54 years old.

The Macmillan nurses in his last days were so kind, so caring, came out to see him at home and made sure he made it to St Gemmas Hospice in time so he could pass away peacefully and comfortably.

Every year I try and do something for Macmillan and in the last couple of years I have incorporated their coffee mornings in my Slimming World groups.

Last year we raised £200 and this year looks like we may have topped that incredible amount!

Heres a couple of Slimming World friendly bakes and cakes that we have sampled the last couple of days!

The most heartfelt thanks go to my amazing members, who have baked and donated so so generously and made all of this happen! Thank you from the bottom of my heart ♥️

✨ Meet Your Consultant ✨

Hi everyone, for those that may have never met me, I am Sinead - the face behind the page and your Slimming World Consultant here in Featherstone on a Wednesday and in Ackworth on a Thursday morning 💕

I first joined Slimming World as a member at the start of 2017, losing 7 and a half stones in just 11 months. I then took on the role of becoming a Slimming World consultant in 2018. I lost my way a little on my own weight loss journey over those years as I got married and had a baby, to name a couple of things to happen in the last 7 years 😂 but I have always been a member and I am just shy of 6 stones lighter (by one pound!) than when I first started all those years ago!

But it means I get it! Every high and low, every bit in between! I truly understand and can step in your shoes, because I have been there! I have experienced every part of parcel of the journey and as someone who was over 20 stones and had that burden of being overweight most of their life, I also know how rewarding and life changing that first step can be ♥️

So if you have been thinking about coming along and joining us, it would be great to have you!
