Slowly reading this amazing book. The hypnotherapy protocol I use is based on John Watkins work.
In childhood I heard a repetitive sentence " Don't be stupid Heather". I accepted and believed it and didn't bother to read books that had big words and complicated sentences. But no more.
What outdated beliefs are you holding on to that no longer serve you?

I was encouaged by a friend to reread this book so that we could delve deeper and discuss. It was one of very few books I read as a child and loved it. Rereading it as an adult and trauma therapist, I loved it anew. It look me to a safe space, my granny's walled garden, I reconnected to happy moments,few with adults but many with living creatures from frog spawn to horses. What ever we are going through in our lives or have in the past, finding a safe space in our minds, real or imagined, can have a powerful positive effect. Where is you safe space

Just finished this funny indpirstional book.in the 90's I read her book life choices life changes and enjoyed it and used many of her imagework exercises in my therapy practise. I didnt know her personal story, and as she terms her time of madness. It is so refreshing to read about a human fallible inspirstional therapist.
