Terry Yorath, the former Leeds United and Wales midfielder, has passed away aged 75 after a brief illness.

The Welsh football icon, who earned 59 international caps during his distinguished playing career, leaves behind a lasting legacy in British football.

Yorath is also known as the father of BBC Sport presenter Gabby Logan, one of his four children.

His death was confirmed by his family, who paid tribute to a man celebrated both for his achievements on the pitch and his character off it.

Brigitte Bardot, the French actress and singer who became a symbol of the sexual revolution in the 1950s and 1960s, has passed away. She was 91.

News of her death was announced “with immense sadness” by The Brigitte Bardot Foundation on Sunday (28th December), who called the star “a world-renowned actress and singer, who chose to abandon her prestigious career to dedicate her life and energy to animal welfare and her foundation”.

It added: “The Brigitte Bardot Foundation wishes to pay tribute to the memory of an exceptional woman who gave up everything for a world more respectful of animals". ❤️

Diogo Jota's sons will join the mascots for Liverpool's match against Wolves ❤️
