The spine is not just a stack of bones holding you upright.
It is a pathway.
Biologically, it houses the spinal cord — the main highway of the nervous system. Every signal between your brain and body travels through this channel. Regulation, safety, stress, pleasure, memory… all pass through here.
Energetically, it is a channel of life force.
Across cultures and traditions, this same pathway has been recognised,
just named differently:
• In yogic and ta***ic traditions, it is the Sushumna Nadi
• In kundalini systems, it is the central channel through which Shakti rises
• In Taoism, it forms part of the Microcosmic Orbit
• In Tibetan lineages, it is known as the Avadhuti
• In indigenous and shamanic traditions, it is the world tree / axis mundi
• In modern somatic and trauma work, it is the neuro-spinal pathway
Different languages.
Different symbols.
Same truth.
Kundalini energy is not something mystical or external that is added to you.
It is your innate life force intelligence.
It lives at the base of the spine, dormant or subtle until the nervous system feels safe enough to allow movement. When conditions are right, this energy begins to rise naturally through the spinal channel — not as a force, but as a remembering.
The purpose is not to “activate” or push energy upward.
The purpose is to free the channel.
Because when the spine is constricted — by chronic stress, emotional suppression, trauma, or survival patterns — energy cannot move freely. It becomes bound in protection.
And bound energy shows up as:
– emotional reactivity or shutdown
– anxiety, overwhelm or numbness
– physical tension or pain
– feeling stuck, disconnected or repeating old patterns
– a sense that life is happening around you, not through you.
Trauma is not stored as memory alone.
It is stored as charge in the nervous system and tissues of the body.
When the spine begins to soften, regulate and come back online, kundalini energy responds.
The nervous system releases what it no longer needs to hold.
The body completes unfinished responses.
Energy that was once used for survival becomes available for creativity, connection and vitality.
This can express as:
• spontaneous movement or kriyas
• waves of emotion or release
• heat, tingling, or expansion
• shaking, stretching, breath changes
• moments of deep stillness or bliss
• clarity, peace, and a sense of coming home
Nothing is being forced.
Nothing is being taken.
This is intelligent energy moving through an intelligent body.
Ancient traditions knew this.
Modern neuroscience is now catching up.
When the spinal channel is supported, regulated and free, life force rises naturally — and healing becomes less about effort, and more about allowing.
You are not awakening something new.
You are remembering what has always been within you.
And it all begins here —
in the spine. 🐍✨
