A Creative, Nature-Led Haven for Community Wellbeing 🌿

Flow in Felton is a grounding space where creativity, movement and nature meet. Inspired by Northumberland, we offer classes, workshops, retreats, and community projects to support wellbeing. Sessions invite people to slow down and feel nourished — in the studio, belltent, or outdoors across the North East.

Shaped by the land and our community, we prioritise inclusivity, creativity and respect. Through fair-pay offerings and accessible retreats, Flow in Felton helps people feel safe, supported and gently guided back to themselves.

Rest is productive too.

January is coming to an end, and I don’t know about you, but I really love the slower pace that comes with this month. It feels so nice to ease back into life instead of rushing straight into everything.

The permission it gives us to reset and take things at our own pace. Even when life still shows up with its to-do lists, responsibilities and constant noise, there’s so much value in choosing small moments of stillness where we can.

I hope you’ve been able to find a little bit of that stillness amongst the school runs, work and all the everyday demands that get thrown at us 🤍✨

Rest isn’t laziness. It’s how the body processes, how the mind settles and how the nervous system finds its balance again. Sometimes slowing down is exactly what moves us forward.

Meet the heart behind Flow in Felton 🤎
Becca — Yoga Teacher, Massage Therapist, Artist & Wellbeing Guide

Becca brings a calm, grounded energy to every session. With experience in holistic massage, yoga teaching, and community wellbeing, she creates supportive spaces for people to breathe, restore, and reconnect.

She is also an artist, working with natural pigments made from Northumbrian clay, stone, and plants, bringing creativity and nature into her wellbeing practice.

Her approach is nurturing and inclusive, while also remaining deeply rooted in mindfulness, compassion, and human connection.

3 gentle ways to ground yourself today:

✨ Bare feet on natural ground
Step outside and let your feet connect with sand, grass, or earth. Feel the temperature, the texture, and the support beneath you. Even a few minutes can help your body settle.

✨ Slow your breath
Inhale gently for 4 counts, then exhale slowly for 6. The longer exhale signals safety to the nervous system and helps shift you out of “fight or flight”.

✨ Come back to your senses
Notice one thing you can see, one thing you can hear, and one thing you can feel in your body right now. This brings your attention out of your thoughts and back into the present moment.

Sometimes grounding is all you need.

January is a time we naturally crave a slower pace.
A chance to soften, to rest, to move more intentionally.

At Flow in Felton, we love leaning this month's quieter energy. But the world doesn’t always allow space for it. The pressure to be productive, to reset, to rush forward can feel loud, even when our bodies are asking for stillness.

If you’re not moving at full speed right now, that’s not something to fix. Slowness is not falling behind. Rest is not a pause from progress, it’s part of it.

This is your Blue Monday reminder to honour where you are.
Move gently. Breathe deeply. Rest without guilt.

Don't know about you, but we’re already really looking forward to spring and summer, when the days are longer and we can start running activities from The Plot again - Felton’s Community Allotment 🌱

We’re so grateful to have received £100 per month in funding from The Plot committee, allowing us to host accessible, community-led sessions rooted in the same ethos as our monthly retreats.

These activities create welcoming spaces to slow down, connect and take part in something nourishing, while also ensuring the practitioners hosting them are paid a fair and respectful rate for their time and skill.

If your body feels tired but your mind won’t slow down, Yoga Nidra might be exactly what you need.

Often called 'yogic sleep', Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that supports deep rest by gently guiding you into the space between waking and sleeping. The body can relax fully, while the mind remains softly aware.

This practice is especially supportive if you struggle to switch off, find rest without guilt, or feel like your nervous system is constantly “on”.
