Reflecting on a Busy Year at BodyMattersMotion
As we step into the new year, I can't help but reflect on just how busy and transformative the last year has been for us at BodyMattersMotion. From moving to a new house to building a state-of-the-art clinic in the grounds of Mags Barrow, it’s been a whirlwind of activity that has set the stage for exciting developments ahead.
One of the most rewarding aspects of our journey this past year has been the influx of patients to our clinic. We've been fortunate to treat a diverse range of scoliosis patients traveling from as far as Dubai, Slovakia, France, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, and various locations across the UK. Our clinic has become a hub for those seeking specialized care, and we are proud to offer our specialist treatment to such a wide audience.
Our assessments have evolved, now incorporating innovative tools like the newly launched easy base force plates. These devices provide invaluable insights into postural patterns, confirming diagnoses and allowing patients to track their progress through detailed app reports or printouts. It's incredibly gratifying to see our patients benefit from this technology, witnessing their improvements in real-time as they undergo treatment and rehabilitation.
Towards the end of the year, I completed a postural respiration course, which has opened up new avenues for rehabilitation techniques. This training, combined with Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), equips us with unique strategies to facilitate postural changes. Understanding that our posture is intricately linked to how and where we breathe is a game-changer in our approach to care.
And amidst all this professional growth, we added a furry member to our family! On December 31st, we welcomed an adorable 8-week-old Springer Spaniel named Blaise. He’s already become a playful companion for our current Springer, Willow, bringing joy and energy into our home.
As we look forward, the possibilities seem endless. We’re excited to continue providing personal and honest care, implementing new techniques, and nurturing a supportive community for our patients. Here’s to another year of growth, learning, and healing at BodyMattersMotion!
