We had such a lovely day yesterday!

We started the day with some baking, then Shannon, one of our Senior Care Assistants took one of our residents out Christmas shopping and a trip around the cathedral to see the Christmas Trees.
We finished off the Afternoon with a visit from one of our Chefs daughters bringing in homemade Christmas cards for the residents which they loved.

Finishing off a wonderful day, this evening we had the pleasure of the Salvation Army band to play for us!🎷🎺📯

It was festive and fantastic from start to finish despite the cold! Plenty of blankets and Irish coffee to keep everybody warm! ☕️🤍 We sang carols, reminisced about past christmases and our Christmas likes and dislikes 🎄✨

Today we welcomed Pringle and Widget the two penguins for a very special visit! 🐧🤍✨

A little snippet into our Tuesday ✨ We started the day creating salt dough decorations which took FOREVER to cook but we’re looking forward to decorating them later in the week. We also talked a few of our lovely residents into having a giggle and dressing up in our elf costumes and other festive bits.

This afternoon we enjoyed mulled wine and mince pies while singing along and decorating the bistro which included some VERY Christmassy inflatables!😂

We then ended the evening with the lovely Heather Louise singing Christmas songs and classic carols. What a lovely Tuesday 🎄

Tomorrow we’re looking forward to welcoming the hairdressers from 10am, enjoying some lovely flower arranging late morning, writing Christmas cards, making our very own mince pies, and finishing with a taste-testing session to see which mince pie comes out on top - including our own!

If you haven’t yet, you simply must visit the our Christmas tree at Worcester Cathedral the whole cathedral glows with a truly magical, heart-warming Christmas spirit. It’s an experience that will leave you feeling full of wonder and festive joy!

This morning we had a lovely visit from Abberley House Nursery, who performed Christmas songs they’ve been practising such as Jingle Bells, We Wish You A Merry Christmas , Christmas pudding & Father Christmas they also handed out their handmade Christmas cards. As they left, Chantry High School arrived and treated us to their Christmas carols complete with dance moves!

They spent time chatting with our residents and also shared Christmas cards, making the morning feel extra festive 🎄🎅🏻🎶
