Stress Awareness Month 💜

To our incredible staff- the compassion and dedication you show every day does not go unnoticed. Supporting others can be rewarding, but it can also be emotionally and physically demanding. This month is a reminder that your wellbeing matters too.

Take a moment to check in with yourself, talk to someone you trust, and don’t be afraid to ask for support when you need it. Looking after yourself isn’t a luxury, it’s essential.

Thank you for everything you do. 💜

World Autism Awareness Day 🌈

Today we recognise and celebrate the unique strengths, perspectives, and experiences of autistic individuals. In domiciliary care, understanding, patience, and person-centred support make all the difference in helping people feel valued, respected, and safe in their own homes.

Let’s continue to learn, listen, and promote acceptance — not just today, but every day.

Together, we can create a more inclusive and supportive community 💜

We’re excited to share a very important update… 👀

After months of careful planning, team discussions, and exploring ways to make our service even more standout, we’re officially introducing a brand new uniform colour for our carers… high-visibility neon orange 🧡✨

Why the change? We thought you might ask…

-Easier to spot when you need us most 🚨
-Brighter days, brighter moods ☀️
-No more uniform mix-ups in the laundry 🧺
-A bold new look to match our bold commitment to care

We’ll be rolling this out soon, so don’t be surprised if your next visit comes with an extra pop of colour! Rest assured, it’s still the same friendly faces and the same high-quality care—just with a slightly more vibrant twist 😉

Let us know what you think of the new look… we’re very excited about it!

💜Our head of corporate services Jill said:

We recently held a Cervical Cancer Awareness Day at Supportive, which was very well received by our staff. The session helped raise awareness about the importance of early detection, regular screening, and understanding the signs and symptoms associated with cervical cancer.
Facts shared during the awareness session included:
• Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable types of cancer due to regular screening and early detection.
• The HPV (Human Papillomavirus) virus is responsible for nearly all cases of cervical cancer.
• Regular cervical screening (smear tests) can detect abnormal cell changes before they develop into cancer.
• In the UK, cervical screening is offered to people with a cervix aged 25–64.
• Early detection significantly increases the chances of successful treatment.

The day was made even more special as we were joined by our partners in the Pioneering Care Partnership, who supported the session and helped share valuable information and guidance with our team. Their involvement strengthened the importance of partnership working in promoting health awareness and supporting our staff and community.💜

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month 💛

Endometriosis affects around 1 in 10 women and those assigned female at birth worldwide, yet it can take an average of 7–10 years to receive a diagnosis.

This condition occurs when tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows elsewhere in the body, often causing chronic pain, heavy periods, fatigue, and fertility challenges. Despite how common it is, many people struggle to be heard or taken seriously.

At Supportive, we recognise the daily impact endometriosis can have.

You are not alone. 💛
