I'm feeling low in energy today & decided to have a sofa & film afternoon. I've put everything on hold & that's okay. It’s taken me a long time to realise this but it is absolutely okay to say 'no.'
No to plans when your energy is low.
No to things that drain you.
No to things that don’t feel aligned.
No to pushing yourself when your body is asking for rest & that's what my body decided it needed today.
For so many years I worried that saying no meant I wasn’t being kind. But what I’ve learned is this. Saying no is often the kindest thing you can do - for you.
It’s a way of honouring your peace, protecting your energy & choosing what feels right in the moment. And when you give yourself permission to say no without guilt, you also make more space for the things that genuinely light you up.
So if you needed the reminder today…
It’s okay to say no.
It doesn’t make you selfish - it makes you human.
