Eight benefits from including garlic in molasses based supplements for sheep and cattle.

1/ Garlic has natural anti-fungal and antiseptic benefits as well as being beneficial for allergies, internal and external parasites.

2/ Garlic is beneficial for respiratory disorders due to its expectorant qualities.

3/ Garlic helps to maintain a healthy and strong immune system.

4/ Garlic is rich in B vitamins and sulphur.

5/ Garlic supports the development of natural bacterial flora – whilst killing pathogens.

6/ ‘Medicinal’ properties of garlic are due to a number of sulphur compounds formed from the breakdown of a component called allicin.

7/ Other breakdown compounds including ajoene, dithiin and diallyl sulphide are all highly volatile and, once eaten, enter the bloodstream and are expelled through pores in the skin and through the lungs. The volatile nature affects not only microbes, but insects.

It should be noted that garlic compounds are readily transferred to milk. It is, therefore, not recommended to be used in supplements for animals producing milk for human consumption, and should be withdrawn from dry animals at least four days pre-parturition.

Lamb Colostrum: a complete ‘first feed’ for the new-born, poorly suckled, orphan or weak lambs. Easy-to-mix formulation contains a rich source of nourishment to supplement or replace natural colostrum from the mother’s milk. Each 500gm Tub is sufficient for 20 lamb feeds when mixed with water.

Calf Colostrum: high quality natural colostrum feed supplement. An easy-to-mix formulation
providing new-born calves the best start to life. This feed is intended to be used for new-born calves within the first 5 hours of life.

After mixing, the product may be stored in a vacuum flask or similar clean container for up to 24 hours. Repeat feeds as an energy source, within 24 hours, if necessary. Each Pack: (1kg Tub) is sufficient for 5 feeds when mixed with water.
