Manor Barn Care Home In the seaside village of Fishbourne, our Edwardian Manor Barn Care Home in West Sussex radiates historic charm.

This Grade II listed building dates back over a century, its elegant period architecture granting a palpable sense of warmth and nostalgia. Rhymecare Limited believe that the provision of high standards of care delivered to meet individual requirements in comfortable and attractive surroundings provides the secure and happy atmosphere that every individual has the right to expect. Our approach emphasises the need for good communication between care staff, residents and where appropriate, relatives that builds relationships that safeguard independence and dignity. Manor Barn is a grade 2 listed building which has its own distinct character. The home is set in well-kept grounds and enjoys a peaceful environment. The home has been carefully developed allowing it to retain many of the original features. There are 31 rooms all equipped to 21st century standards.

Today, we were honoured to be joined by some current serving members of the British Army.
Four soldiers from the 12th Regiment Royal Artillery visited us, bringing back fond memories for many of our residents — several of whom also have military backgrounds.

Over tea and biscuits, we enjoyed sharing stories from the past and present as the soldiers spoke about their day-to-day life in service.

We are deeply grateful to Sgt Hearn, Gnr Pope, Gnr Hennessey and Gnr Dawson for joining us over the Remembrance weekend, a time that truly touches all our hearts.

We remember the brave men and women who served and gave everything for the freedoms we hold dear. Their courage, their selflessness and their legacy live on in our hearts.

👻 What a fang-tastic afternoon we had with our residents and guests! From creepy pumpkin carving to a spooktacular disco, there was something for everyone to enjoy. 🧙‍♀️

🐾This afternoon we had a wonderful visitor to Manor Barn. Lucy a therapy dog, who came along with her lovely owner Alexandra for a little “getting to know us” session. Lucy was an absolute star, she was calm, gentle and it didn’t take long for her to win everyone over!
We’re so excited to welcome them both into the Manor Barn family and can already tell they will bring a lot of smiles, comfort and joy to our residents ❤️

🐾 Animals have an amazing way of lifting our spirits.
Sometimes it’s the simple things, a soft nose, a wagging tail or a quiet cuddle that can brighten someone’s whole day.
