Today is Samhain (pronounced sow-in) a special day in the Celtic calendar that marks the end of summer and the harvest season and the start of winter. The belief is that the veil between the living and the dead is at its thinnest on this day, allowing spirits of the dead and fae to pass freely amongst the living. The tradition of guising came from the understanding that disguising as a spirit would allow safe passage of any children who ventured out on the night of Samhain.
So in the spirit of the day, here is my little fairy all ready for school today ✨

It’s on cold, wet nights like these I love making the treatment room extra cosy. The heated blanket and hot stones are on and ready for my evening appointment. The orange spice songbird massage oil has been a popular choice over the past few weeks 🍂

When I was on holiday I visited the most magical place, the living apothecary at House of Brìghde.
If you know me you know how much I love natural products and the power or nature, so a visit here was like my idea of heaven!

I’ve added 2 pictures, one shows a tiny portion of the beautiful shop front and the other shows Eilidh and Duncan after she was banished for smashing something as soon as we walked in 🙈
