We had a very entertaining visit from the Carousel Theatre 🎭 company yesterday afternoon, ‘oh no you didn’t’ we hear you shout 🎄

This is the second year we’ve been entertained by Carousel and they didn’t disappoint, with their performance of Cinderella, the residents laughed the whole way through 😂 the show was packed with great acting and singing with many songs we could all join in with 🎵

For many years we have enjoyed taking trips out to the theatre 🎭 but this is such a lovely way to get all the residents involved in the comfort of their own home 🏡

Thank you to all our families for joining us for our wonderful festivities this year and please pop in tomorrow for another chance to see young Oliver Miles for a bit of Christmas Eve magic between 2-3pm 🪄 🎄 🪄

We then have have a New Years Eve knees up with a pianist Len from 2pm on Wednesday 31st with fizz and nibbles 🎄🥂🎄

The Reminiscence Christmas party was thoroughly enjoyed by all on Friday 🎄what a wonderful atmosphere 🎄

With Kevin Jacot hosting an afternoon of music and dancing with residents, friends and family 🎄there was an abundance of excitement and love in the room.

There were definitely some tear jerking moments amongst the fun and laughter 😆 and some special moments shared between carers and residents ❤️

We were treated with a wonderful buffet and plenty of tea and coffee to wash it down with by our super chefs 🎄

Thank you to all the carers who joined in and made it such a wonderful afternoon 🎄

On Thursday evening we hosted our last choir of the festival season, one of Fleet Hall’s regular entertainers Diane White brought along her talented choir to sing some beautiful carols to our residents, mulled wine and mince pies were all devoured at the end of the performance and lots of laughter filled the room 🎄

Some of the residents from Fleet Hall travelled down to Portsmouth this Tuesday to visit Fort Nelson to see the Standing with Giants display 💂‍♀️

Standing with Giants is a powerful, poignant art installation featuring 1,475 black silhouettes, representing British servicemen lost on D-Day, displayed at Royal Armouries Fort Nelson in Portsmouth, overlooking the harbor from which they sailed.
Created from recycled materials, the free-to-enter exhibit runs until January 25, 2026, honoring sacrifices with immersive figures
and providing a space for reflection 🇬🇧

The residents were mesmerised by the display and the gunnery museum, reading letters from soldiers written to family back home. A wonderful tribute which made us all reflect and appreciate our country and services 🇬🇧

Rocking around the Christmas tree 🎄 was definitely the order of the day for the Staff and residents of FleetHall for their Christmas Party 2025 🎄

We had a buffet fit for three kings 👑 and dance moves that any Strictly judge would be proud of 🪩

It was so lovely to see the residents and staff enjoying a party and spending some quality time together 🥳

Smokey Joe and the Bandits a fantastic live band gave us a spectacular performance and were so engaging with everyone, it was great welcoming them back again 🥁 🎸 🎤

Thank you to Regional Director Glenn and Emma from Head office for you help and support during the day, it was lovely to spend some quality time with you both too ❤️🎄❤️

The wonderful Shuffletunes blessed us all with another wonderful performance on Wednesday evening, 42 choir members sang their hearts out to the residents and staff and families 🎵 🎹 🎵

They get better and better every year and the participation from the residents and families was amazing 🎄

Thank you to David and Pete for your wonderful conducting and piano playing 🎹 and for always fitting us in to your busy schedule 🎄 we hope you enjoy your mulled wine 🍷 and mince pies 🥧 and mingling with the residents, can’t wait for the summer!

Introducing our new Art & Craft Group with Kate on a Tuesday afternoon has proved to be very popular and productive, the residents love and look forward to these sessions and are producing some very creative pieces 🖼️ it’s wonderful to see residents give some challenging projects a try and seeing such great results, Kate’s sessions are suitable for all level of abilities as she supports the residents through the process with her experience and passion for anything artistic 🎄
The art group runs every Tuesday from 2-5pm allowing residents from the whole home to drop in when they like ❤️

Our Christmas Fair was a lovely event filled with music, family and fun, we had some lovely stalls selling a variety of items including some super jewellery from Debs 🎄

Basingstoke Silver Band were a huge success and Oliver Miles the young magician was charming and the residents all enjoyed his magic 🪄

Our raffle tickets 🎟️ were selling like hot cakes with some wonderful prizes donated by family, residents and staff 🎄
The raffle will be drawn this Saturday after the family quiz 2-4pm 🎄
