🚗🚧🚨**CLINIC ACCESS**

From Monday 25th March, for 14 glorious weeks, Northfield Road will be undergoing street works. Access to the clinic should be maintained but entry to/from the road may change over this time. We are advising patients to please give yourselves a little extra time to travel.
We don’t really know how it will affect us until it’s underway, hopefully disruption will be minimal 🫣🤞🏻

We’re now closed for Christmas, there is a waiting list for Saturday 31st Dec and then back as normal from Wednesday 4th Jan 2023.

**FEE CHANGES from 1st FEB 2023**
Hello all,

I appreciate it's not the joyous festive news you would like to receive at this time of year (hence I have pushed it back to the 1st February) but with costs everywhere rising I have decided to increase fees at the clinic. I will have kept fees the same for nearly 2 years, it's not something I choose to do lightly and I hope you will understand.

​From 1st Feb 2023 follow up appointments will be increasing by £3 to £48.

Initial appointments will be £65.

So, if you're going to need an osteopath, definitely pop in before the end of January (plan those injuries accordingly!)

A busy Sunday this week spent at the UCO refreshing my clinical skills. Osteopaths aren’t all about bad backs, we are often the first point of contact for patients who come in with all manner of symptoms and we are trained to examine and assess all the body systems so we know when we need to refer on for further investigation.
Sunday was a great opportunity to delve a little deeper into the cardiac and respiratory systems as well as lots of revision on the cranial nerves and abdomen too. Full on but osteopaths are lovely people so a very nice day all round 😊

The changes in Covid rules don’t apply to healthcare and so we are currently continuing to operate ‘as normal’-please check your reminder emails for the covid screening form, reschedule your appointment if you have symptoms or test positive and please wear a mask whilst in the clinic. Thank you 😊

New PPE guidelines mean that we are sticking with masks in clinic but may not always have the gloves and aprons-hurray for cutting down on single use plastic!
I will be aiming to cut down as much as possible but am also very aware of new variants etc and that this may change-
So don’t be alarmed if I still cover up when you come in (it’s nothing personal 😉)

Just a quick post to say I am still here!
Apologies for the lack of posts-clearly social media updating is not my forte, maybe being more engaged will be a New Years Resolution 🤔
Clinic is continuing to operate with face masks, covid screening forms and plenty of cleaning so if the sudden cold has got you shivering and tweaking necks and backs, we’re still here to help.

**MATTRESSES!**
A lovely time camping but waking up in my own bed this morning reminds me of the importance of a good mattress!

There are no hard and fast rules here, I don’t recommend a specific mattress to anyone as it is such an individual choice and preference. It really is good to try out several if you’re out and about (and a good lie down for a while if possible!), there are plenty of trial periods available from various manufacturers too so definitely worth looking into those.

This is really just a chance to ask ‘how old is your mattress and are you getting a good nights sleep?’

I love camping, but, ooh it was nice to have a real bed back 😊
