I was inspired by an image I saw online for a John Lewis Smoked Salmon bagel with it was filled with cream cheese, cucumber and dill and I have to say, looked delectable!
I thought I could have that for lunch easily at home using just free foods and health extra’s - so I did. I re-created it, totally free, just using a healthy extra choice for the bagel thin.
This really is my favourite thing about Slimming World, when it comes to what we can eat using free foods, we are only really limited by our inspiration and imagination. I really love helping my members figure out how to eat the foods they truly love, but in a way to support their weight loss goals, without sacrificing any of the flavour.
Oh and making it myself, did I use a whole 100g smoked salmon just for me - you bet I did! - Smoked salmon is a wonderful source of healthy, beneficial omega-3 fatty acids which can help lower cholesterol. This is the good fats we need more of in our lives!
