This afternoon we had the most fabulous Christmas party. A big thank you to Flitwick Church Choir for their fantastic singing. A huge thank you to everyone that brought raffle tickets, the Residents Comfort Fund is very grateful. Well done to all the raffle winners (those who were not there will be contacted and presented with their prizes). Thank you to all the staff who helped put on a wonderful afternoon and lastly thank you to everyone who came. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Another fabulous Christma Day at Baycroft. Chu set up SANTA’S TOY SHOP in the afternoon and came to entertain our residents with his animated Christmas toys. All you could hear in the room was ooo’s agh’s and laughter. Watch out for the video as it was so much fun. The last picture says it all ❤️

Today we had our Christingle Service which was taken by Rev Claire and Rev Andy from Flitwick Church. Residents enjoyed a wonderful service which was followed by the story of Christingle. As everyone held their Christingle with love and pride we ended the service with a rendition of Silent Night. At the end of the service Maureen presented the church with a hamper from the home. Rev Andy then went around to residents in their rooms and gave them a Christmas blessing

Yesterday and this Morning our residents enjoyed a lovely creative afternoon making Christingles for tomorrow’s church service 🍊✨

Using oranges, red ribbon, candles and sweets, they carefully created these special symbols – each part representing something meaningful: God’s love, the light of Christ, and the joy of sharing with others.

It was a wonderful time for reflection, creativity and conversation, and everyone took great pride in their finished Christingles. We’re really looking forward to sharing them at the service tomorrow ❤️🕯️

🎭 What a wonderfully festive weekend! 🎄

On Saturday we did something a little different with a joyful read-through of a Nativity play. Our cast included Mary, Joseph, the Three Wise Men, Shepherds, Animals, Angels, Herod, Innkeepers, and a fantastic Chorus✨

Residents responded brilliantly, showing wonderful inner talent, confidence, and excellent reading skills throughout. To add even more Christmas cheer, we also sang along to some much-loved carols during the read-through, creating a truly heart-warming atmosphere🎶🎄

An afternoon of fun with a Christmas Sing-a-Long with mince pies 🥧 and nibbles which ended with Ralph and Linda judging the Staff Christmas Jumper parade. Bernie was the winner of Christmas Jumper Day with her Rudolf ‘O Deer’ t-shirt which was also accompanied by her light up Christmas tree jumper🎄

Our residents had a wonderful afternoon playing Christmas-themed bingo, joined by their lovely family and friends. The room was full of festive cheer, laughter, and a bit of friendly competition!

We had amazing prizes, Christmas music, and plenty of decorations to get everyone into the holiday spirit. It was a joy to see everyone come together and share such a cosy, heart-warming afternoon. ❤️

Congratulations to Richard and Laura who were both awarded Employee of the Month for November. Richard is one of our Night Carers who goes above and beyond for his residents and his team and Laura is part of our Front of House Team and knows what our residents want and like even before they do. Huge congratulations to you both 👏🏻 👏🏻
