Today was a busy day with a visit from Kerry from Everyone Active. She put everyone through their paces ending our seated exercise class with everyone’s favourite YMCA. Later in the afternoon we celebrated National Pizza Day with residents making delicious individual pizzas 🍕 Teatime tomorrow will be tasty

The results were absolutely beautiful!!
Each piece reflected so much care, creativity, and imagination, with the theme of love shining through in every design🥰

This morning we had the pleasure of our first Little & Wise Playgroup session with our residents. As this was our first one we didn’t know what to expect. Mums and babies arrived and our residents were in their element. Being served make believe cups of tea and toast to playing musical instruments was the tasks of the morning followed by cuddles and giggles. Thank you to everyone who came and hopefully see you all next month.

Congratulations to Sammie who is part of our Front of House team. Sammie has been voted as Employee of the Month for January and she always goes above and beyond for our residents. She is always there to encourage residents when they want to help her either by laying tables, assisting on the tea run or folding napkins as well as knowing everyone’s preferences for meal times and tea and cake time ☕️ 🧁

Yesterday we had a great start to the day with a fun filled Coffee Morning. Everyone gathered together in the bistro for some delicious cakes and biscuits and some very decadent strawberries dipped in chocolate thanks to our amazing chefs. Residents joined visitors in a quiz about romance and the bistro was decorated for Valentines ❤️ and the atmosphere was full of love

This morning we had the pleasure of Annlouise from Alzheimer’s Society who gave a very informative talk about Alzheimer’s and Dementia. This was a wonderful talk for residents families and the community to come to and it helped us all get a better understanding of people living with Dementia. One gentleman who attended gave a great quote after the talk and said “now it all makes sense”. Talks like these help families/carers realise that they are not alone and that there is a lot of help out there.
We will hopefully holding another one of these talks in the near future so if you know someone who could benefit from this please get them to come along.
