Today we held an Appreciation Brunch for people & business within the community who help Baycroft Flitwick be the best it can be. Thank you to everyone who attended and thank you for the support and care you give to our residents. Everyone was welcomed with a delicious selection of bacon rolls, pastries, croissants and fresh fruit 🍇 🥐 🥮 We asked all the attendees to fill out a small survey and we then put everyone’s name in a hat. Nikki our receptionist drew Shona from Neville’s name and she left with a lovely bottle of Prosecco with truffles.

Yesterday morning it was lovely to see our bistro buzzing with two different activity groups. On the left we had Deborah and Evie with the knitting group. It’s lovely to see different people join this group as this is such as fun activity and is a great activity for hand eye coordination and dexterity. On the right of the bistro we had our avid domino players and it is lovely to see how they all help each out.

When we went on a trip to the garden centre on Monday we bought a couple of wooden craft items. One was a beautiful wooden photo frame with carved flowers around it. To ensure everyone benefited from the frame we photocopied it and our residents coloured in the flowers and added extra decorations. We then inserted a photograph of each of them and these will displayed in the home

As we are in houseplant week we decided to take a trip on the minibus to the garden centre and buy a few. Each of our residents picked a plant they liked and brought it back to the home. They now have the job of nurturing them and watching them bloom and grow 🪴
