Today our residents got creative painting colourful welly boots for CC in Bloom 🌸🎨

Each pair of bright, unique wellies will soon be displayed at the front of the home, filled with beautiful flowers. They’re not just decorations—they represent something really special to us: that everyone is included, valued, and part of our community 💛

It was wonderful to see so much creativity and pride in their work. We can’t wait to show off the finished display! 🌼

Today our residents enjoyed a lovely trip to the garden centre, where we bought sweet peas and cress. 🌸🌱
Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a relaxing coffee together in the café, with plenty of chats and smiles all around ☕
A really nice outing for everyone and a great addition to our plans to brighten up the garden. 🪴

Also over the weekend our residents enjoyed getting creative by making pom pom flowers using colourful wool, pipe cleaners and even a fork as part of our CC in Bloom project 🌸

Residents took their time wrapping the wool, choosing their favourite colours and shaping their flowers. 💐
This activity supported fine motor skills and gave everyone a chance to express themselves while helping to brighten up the home. 💐💐💐

Last week we had a very special visitor, the adorable little Cockapoo, Nelly 🐶💛
Our residents were absolutely delighted with all the gentle strokes, wagging tails, and sweet puppy licks. The room was filled with laughter, smiles, and lots of happy chatter☺️
it truly was a paw-some day!🐶🐶 Seeing the joy on everyone’s faces reminded us just how powerful animal visits can be in bringing comfort, companionship, and pure happiness.
We can’t wait to welcome Nelly back for more cuddles soon! 🐾✨

Our residents are getting involved in CC in Bloom this year and taking on tasks to help get our home competition ready. Russell was potting on the sunflowers 🌻 Neal was busy sweeping 🧹 Dave was watering the seedlings 🌱 Roger was cutting back the begonias 🌺 Peter was sieving the soil and Rosemary was checking the trough. Our residents have been getting creative and working together to design a beautiful “CC in Bloom” mood board 🌸🌿

They’ve shared ideas, colours, and inspiration for how they’d love our garden to look, and it’s been amazing to see everyone getting involved, reminiscing, and expressing themselves.

🌸 Blooming Busy with CC in Bloom! 🌸

Our residents enjoyed another wonderful CC in Bloom activity today, full of creativity, colour, and lovely scents! 🎨🌼
Residents painted their own cardboard flower pots this morning adding their personal artistic touches. Then this afternoon we went around the home and garden to find beautiful flowers to fill them🌺
They had great fun popping the flowers into the pots, smelling each one, and trying to identify them along the way. It was a joyful sensory experience that sparked conversation, smiles, and plenty of creativity.💐
Activities like this are a fantastic way to encourage movement, social interaction, and connection with nature, and today was truly a lovely one to watch unfold. 🌷
Well done everyone for your beautiful creations! 💐
