Today has been a busy day! We have had lots of guests visiting and have been extra busy hunting for chocolate eggs hidden around the home!
Some residents walked straight past them. We tried to hide/camouflage them a little, but not too much.
Everyone seems to have gotten a nice selection of eggs, and some received a good bag if they were unable to search for them.
We had our Friday quiz this afternoon and although there were only a few residents, David made up for it and answered lots of questions correctly!
Peggy had a visit from her daughter & granddaughter, Joy's daughter visited and then joined the egg hunt. Patsie had a visit from her son, Tony & he brought Foxy the dog. Patsie loves it when they visit. Yvonne had her sister-in-law visiting this morning, and Imelda had some of her sister and niece pop in this afternoon. Janet's daughter and grandson came by and brought her some lovely flowers and chocolates, which she was extremely pleased with. Iris's son has also visited her this afternoon

Art was so good this afternoon. The residents painted bluebells in the woods. They all did a really good job. Kerry was so impressed with them and the residents said they were definitely going to put their pictures in a frame, and hang them in their rooms.
We had lots of visitors too. Merry, Joy, Barbara, and Maureen all had visitors today.

We had the best day at Wingham Wildlife park today. The weather was great too! We saw lions and Tigers and Bears. Puma’s, meerkats, Emu’s, pelicans, otters, orangutans to name a few. We had a lovely picnic made by Bob from the kitchen. It really was a lovely day. Here are a few snaps of our day!!

The sun was out and we all made the most of it. Yvonne, Sylvia and Beeyl had a trip to ‘The Imperial’ Chinese restaurant in Ashford. The food was amazing and we all enjoyed our meal. The garden was also busy today. Patsie, Pat, and Gordon all had an afternoon stroll in the sun. Michael was taken to Dymchurch this afternoon by his daughter Tracy. Michael had a walk along the sea wall and went to the charity shop to get some new jigsaws.

The minibus was busy today. Two trips out!! First trip was to Morrisons. Yvonne, David, Marion and Iris all enjoyed a slice of cake and hot drink in the cafe. We chatted about the Mother’s Day buffet, which the residents said was delicious. Then we had a walk around the store and we all did a bit of shopping before heading back to Brampton. After lunch we took Patsie and Sylvia to Alkham garden centre. And we had a cup of tea and cake in their cafe too! Their red velvet cake was to die for. Sylvia and Patsie almost licked their plates! It was a lovely afternoon
Tomorrow we are heading to a Chinese restaurant for lunch. We will let you know how we get on.

We would like to say a huge thank you to our chef, Bob, for today's beautiful feast! A big thank you to all staff who helped set up and serve, and thank you to all visitors who joined us to celebrate all lovely mums today :) Bob made a roast dinner buffet with pork loin, fluffy roast potatoes, creamy mashed potatoes, a mixture of stuffed Yorkshire puddings, and homemade quiche with some sides. He then made a whole load of banoffee pies & Victoria sponge fingers. One of our guests daughter in law kindly made us a yummy chocolate cake too!
We have had lots of deliveries of stunning flowers throughout the day and some very happy ladies to follow :)
We hope you've all enjoyed your day as much as we have!

Yesterday we spent some time having a pamper ready for today. We have noticed the garden flourishing since the gardeners were in the other day too, look at the range of gorgeous colours we have in the garden again!

Art with Kerry was great this afternoon. We painted sand dunes in water colour. The end result was great. We had a whole load of visitors today too! Yvonne had a visit from Hillary this morning, and her friend Linda this afternoon. Maureen had her sister and brother-in-law. Imelda had her sister visit. June had her daughter Anita come in, and Merry had her friend visit this afternoon. And lastly Patsie had her niece Anne visit this afternoon.

Yvonne had a trip to Morrisons this morning. Yvonne had a slice of Sticky toffee cake and a cup of coffee. Afterwards, we had a walk around this shop, and Yvonne brought some chocolate! When we returned, Yvonne joined the others in the dining room to eat lunch.
Joy had her son Kevin, visit this morning, and Janet had her daughter Jo. Imelda had a visit from her sister. Marion had her two friends visit this afternoon, and Laurie had visitors too!

We have had a glorious start to our week here at Brampton Lodge.
We started the week with a trip to Morrisons yesterday, where Marion & David joined us. They had a hot drink, and Marion chose a slice of Victoria sponge while David had a lemon muffin, which they both said was delicious! They then did some shopping before returning home for lunch.
We have had lots of residents in the garden today, enjoying the beautiful sunshine. Barbera and Gordon both chose to have their one-to-ones in the garden and were very pleased to see lots of colour and flowers blooming already. Patsie and Janet then went to sit in the garden with Katie and chatted for some time before lunch, while Peggy and Tony sat chatting in the warmest spot, their little suntrap.
Lots of residents have had visitors today, the sun always seems to get people out and in a positive mood, and we love it :) We cannot wait until it is warm enough to eat in the garden again, but for the time being, the residents are still enjoying their sleek and stylish new dining room.
