We had a great trip out on the minibus today. We drove down to Dungeness and ate lunch in the Britannia restaurant. We all had a really nice meal and a great chat. We past the lighthouses, the power station and Derek Jarman’s cottage. We had a lovely drive home too.
Today Patsie and David watched Mama Mia in the Tv room. Peggy had her son and daughter-in-law visit, and Jo came to visit Janet.

This morning Patsie, Janet, Yvonne and Dyane sat reminiscing about old 70s Tv programs. We laughed about The Generation game, some mothers do have em, cannon and ball, little and large, the two ronnies. We laughed about the four candles sketch. We had a delivery of our new dining room and lounge furniture today, and it was chaos getting the old furniture out and the new furniture in. It’s all beginning to take shape. Tomorrow we have the designer coming in to add the finishing touches and make it look as she designed. This afternoon we had Kerry come in to give the residents an art class. They painted Derek Jarmens Cottage in Dungeness. They did a great job and were really proud of their efforts.

We had a lovely trip to Morrisons this morning. Josh and l took David, Yvonne and Joy to the cafe. They all had a slice of cake and a cuppa and then we all had a walk around the store to do a bit of shopping. When we arrived back it was time for a pre lunch drink. We all wished Josh a happy 17th birthday. Lunch was lovely. There was chicken Tikka masala or sausage and mash. 😋. This afternoon we took a walk up the leas with Gloria, Pat and Patsie, and Tony came along too. It’s was a bit windy, but we enjoyed blowing the cobwebs. We stopped to read the history of The Grand Hotel, and The Metropole Hotel. They were big rivals back in the day when they were first built and were later used by the military during the war.
Michael and Gordon sat in the garden this afternoon. And Imelda, June, Beryl, Bea, Joy, Yvonne, Maureen and Janet all had visitors

A trip to Morrisons was just what was needed today. Marion tucked into a bacon roll and a latte. Maureen had a big slice of chocolate fudge cake and a latte. Maureen said it was delicious. We also did a bit of shopping and Marion brought some of her favourite things. This afternoon, David and l got our hands stuck in the dirt and planted some tomatoes, courgettes and spring onions. David is going to keep his eye on the new seedlings and make sure they grow big and strong.

We had a great trip to wild wood in the minibus today Pam , Patsie and Pat had a really good day spotting the animals. We walked all around the park and stopped at the picnic area for a bit of lunch. The sun was glorious and we were all cream crackered when we got back to Brampton. The art class was in full swing when we got back. The pictures they painted were great. Take a look!

We had a great time at cullins yard today. We had the most delicious lunch which was washed down with a nice cold drink. The residents said they would love to go back. The sun shone, the staff were lovely and we felt like we were on holiday! (If only).

Today has been a busy day! We have had lots of guests visiting and have been extra busy hunting for chocolate eggs hidden around the home!
Some residents walked straight past them. We tried to hide/camouflage them a little, but not too much.
Everyone seems to have gotten a nice selection of eggs, and some received a good bag if they were unable to search for them.
We had our Friday quiz this afternoon and although there were only a few residents, David made up for it and answered lots of questions correctly!
Peggy had a visit from her daughter & granddaughter, Joy's daughter visited and then joined the egg hunt. Patsie had a visit from her son, Tony & he brought Foxy the dog. Patsie loves it when they visit. Yvonne had her sister-in-law visiting this morning, and Imelda had some of her sister and niece pop in this afternoon. Janet's daughter and grandson came by and brought her some lovely flowers and chocolates, which she was extremely pleased with. Iris's son has also visited her this afternoon
