Stress is not always a ‘bad’ thing. However, when we experience stress in our workplace or everyday lives, it can affect our ability to function, and long-term stress can damage our health.

Workplace stress is reaching record levels worldwide, so Stress Awareness Month gives organisations a chance to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and actively support employee wellbeing before issues escalate.

📣 Together we can raise awareness of ovarian cancer in Kent and Medway

Every year, around 250 women in Kent and Medway are diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Knowing the symptoms and acting quickly can help improve early diagnosis.

Across the UK, about 21 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer every day.

Many women don’t realise that ovarian cancer symptoms can include everyday issues like bloating or feeling full quickly. If symptoms are new, persistent, and happening most days, it’s important to seek medical advice.

Talking openly about symptoms and sharing reliable information can help more women get the support they need.

💙 Let’s work together to increase awareness and encourage earlier conversations with healthcare professionals.

On International Trans Day of Visibility, it’s a good time to share a reminder of why pronouns are so important. They’re an important part of self-identity.

Respecting people’s chosen names and pronouns is a simple yet powerful act of allyship. Include pronouns in your email signatures and social media profiles to normalise their usage.

If you’re unsure, simply ask politely what someone’s preferred pronouns are.

This resource has been created to educate and spread awareness in support of our LGBTQ+ colleagues, service users, and wider community.

In Kent and Medway, around 250 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer every year. Awareness of symptoms can help women seek help earlier and improve outcomes.

Ovarian cancer symptoms can be easy to miss because they are often similar to everyday digestive problems. But if symptoms are persistent and happen frequently, it’s important to speak to a GP.

Look out for:
• Persistent bloating
• Pelvic or abdominal pain
• Feeling full quickly or loss of appetite
• Needing to urinate more often

If these symptoms last more than 2–3 weeks, don’t ignore them. Getting checked early could make all the difference.

Please help spread awareness across Kent and Medway by sharing this post.

Nutrition and Hydration Week celebrates the importance of food and drink in maintaining health and wellbeing in patients.

While it’s always important to eat a healthy diet, if you’re post operative or convalescing, it’s vital for healing to ensure that you’re eating the right type of foods.

Physiotherapy and surgery aren't the only remedies for injury. Adapting your diet can help support a faster recovery too. Shirley Ward explains.
