Remembering those who served.

Today, November 11th, we will be observing the two-minute silence at 11:00 AM to mark Armistice Day and honour the service and sacrifice of the fallen.

👁️ Eye-Opening Fact Time! 🤓

💧 Dry Eye Fact: It's often NOT just a lack of tears! 🤯

While it seems counterintuitive, most dry eye disease is caused by poor-quality tears that evaporate too quickly— not a simple lack of water!

Your tear film is like a sandwich with three layers: oil, water, and mucus. 🥪👀

The top oil layer is crucial because it keeps your tears from evaporating. When glands in your eyelids (Meibomian Glands) don't produce enough oil, the tears dry up instantly, leading to that scratchy, gritty feeling.

Screen time is a big culprit because we blink less, which slows down oil production! 🖥️

Pro Tip: If you stare at screens a lot, try to remember the 20-20-20 Rule!

Concerned that you may have dry eyes? Call us today on 01795 542322 to book an appointment. We are here to help! 📞

“They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old.

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.” - Laurence Binyon 🕯️🥀

👁️ Eye-Opening Fact Time! 🤓

Did you know the human eye is so powerful, it can distinguish approximately 10 million different colours?

That's right—a universe of colour, all thanks to the incredible precision of your eyes! 🌈

Mind-blowing: This ability is often compared to a digital camera of 576 megapixels! 📸

Protect Your Vision: Give those amazing eyes a break from screens and remember to get regular eye exams! Follow the 20-20-20 rule: Every 20 minutes, look at an object 20 feet away for 20 seconds

What's your favorite colour to look at? Let us know in the comments! 👇
