WE ARE RECRUITING

Places on our team are not advertised often but we do need an enthusiastic addition to our team due to maternity leave ..

This is a permanent position with guaranteed minimum 20hrs per week and many fringe benefits

Pay £12.30 per hour per care call plus £12.30 per hour travel time in between your calls and fuel supplement..

Must be able to start work at 8am, work every other weekend and some evenings .

As we draw close to the Christmas festivities, hugging friends and family, sharing food and best wishes. Please take a moment to think and notice your neighbours or people you might see but don't say hi too. Maybe they look sad, or grumpy or not quite tidy. Spread the Christmas cheer and make connections, check on those you might not ordinarily do so on a day to day basis. Christmas can be difficult for those who feel alone or feel they don't fit in.

A small act of Kindness goes a long way.

More now than ever , when the goings on in the World feels like chaos to many, must we remember, respect and honour all of those fellow human beings who’s sacrifice was to protect our freedoms and right to live freely ..The number of killed, missing and injured is so huge it is almost impossible to imagine, so, honour their sacrifice by living your life well, in peace and with love towards others ..💜

Many service animals were a huge part of the success and suffered greatly as they still do today .. let’s remember them also and the important role they played 💕

NEXT TEAM MEMBER SEARCH ON NOW!
We are now recruiting for the next member to join our team. Chelsea who has been with me 5 years is leaving soon to go on maternity leave. Don't delay because the opportunity to join my superb team does not come up often.

This position is permanent and part time to start with. It comes with a contract of 20 hours which means even if you do not work 20 hours you will still be paid for 20 hours. The hours can increase if you wish once you have settled in .

Most care companies request that the interested applicant only needs to be caring! Well, I have higher expectations of you and for our clients. I would like any applicant to have the following attributes and skills;
-caring and empathetic
-reliable, trustworthy, responsible and honest
-organised
-have observational skills and common sense
-great team player
-clear communication skills
-not be afraid to admit errors ( they happen we are all human!)
-not be afraid to ask for help and support when needed

You must also have the following
-a car and full driving licence.
-You must be able to work every other weekend and mornings as well as some evenings.

In return;
-I will ensure you are well trained and have the support and the time to deliver an exceptionally high standard of care
- you will be paid £12.30 per hour and not just for your care calls BUT also for the travel time in between, so your hourly rate is in fact much higher.
-you will have a fuel allowance
-you will always have shadowing at any new calls
-you will have your birthday off every time and with a gift from me
-once you have passed probation you will have access to the car care scheme ( mot paid and 4 tyres per year up to £220)
-after a year you will have access to private health care cover
- from when you start you will join our team appreciation and team building adventures (each month carers go out for dinner to any restaurant of their choosing paid by the company, next venture is a spa day!) All the carers have the option to attend no matter how long they have been with us.

Celebrating 5 years of service to all our lovely clients at Folkestone Home Care. Flowers, a night out and a special gift. Chelsea is the very first carer I employed and is an absolute credit to us.

She is going on maternity leave soon and will be very much missed!
