Stopping doesn't come easily when your day is built around keeping things moving.
Like most women I am often juggling multiple things — going from one thing to the other. Taking time for ourselves to just do nothing doesn't feel productive. Sitting still and trying to clear my mind and meditate wasn't my thing either.
So at my first Yoga Nidra with Helen, it was nothing like I expected. You are lying down with a pillow and warm blanket. Helen guides you through it and your only job is to follow her voice. You don't have to do anything else.
I didn't clear my mind. But what did happen is my mind wandered off and before I knew it an hour had gone. I didn’t expect was how rested I felt afterwards.
Helen is leading Yoga Nidra here at the studio in Breamore at 7:30pm this Monday evening. This session is open to everyone ( you don’t need to be a member) and booking is open online via the link below.
