🎩 Jonathan Rust Family Funeral Directors and the amazing team would like to wish you all a Happy New Year 🎩

In the next couple of weeks we will be announcing our charity of 2026, and throughout the year we will be doing numerous fundraising events to raise money for the fantastic work they do.

We also have other plans in the making to offer our families another choice when they are arranging the funeral of their loved ones, watch this space and we will share as it develops.

🎩 Today a family said goodbye to their loved one using a slightly different method of transport 🎩

A beautiful wooden bier kindly donated to us by David Shering which belonged to the late John Shering.

Absolute privilege and honour to be able to use this piece of history for a local funeral.

As we always say, the perfect goodbye, your way.

🎄 Tonight we joined others at the beautiful Carol and Memorial Service at Test Valley Crematorium 🎄

What an amazing service delivered by Celebrant Dave Adcock and others, a truly poignant ceremony to help all those who have lost loved ones through a difficult time of the year. Part of the service was dedicated to babies and children too precious for earth, a message so close to many.

Many find it tough going back to a place where they said goodbye to their loved ones, but I’m sure with the gentle and loving words said by everyone tonight, would’ve helped families smile through their tears.

During the reflection music, the attendees stepped forward to the Christmas tree to hang a tag with a message to those they have lost. Ours simply said, In Loving Memory of all those we have loved and lost in 2025.

On our way out we were invited to take a copy of a beautiful reading called Little Snowdrop and a cute little Robin knitted by a talented lady.

Thank you so much Test Valley Crematorium for everything you have done over the year to help families say goodbye to their loved ones.

Being the Funeral Director in a community like Fordingbridge isn't just about looking after families in the present but also remembering characters from the past.
I was asked if I could provide a plaque to remember a true Fordingbridge Turks stalwart, Graham Buckingham. As a past player of the Turks some 30 year's ago and now a current sponsor I remember Buck well so it was a great honour.
So with the current President Phil Parker (with spade) and past player John Yetton and current player Nathan Welch, today we planted a tree and placed the memorial in Grahams memory.

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose on earth. A time to be born and sadly a time to die. Here, in this last act, in sorrow but without fear in love and appreciation we dedicated this space and tree to Grahams memory.

🎩 Thank you’s mean so much to us, as it shows we’re making sure our families get exactly what they want in a professional, bespoke and caring way. A very happy family and that’s all we want. A funeral doesn’t have to be held in a Crematorium or Church, it can take place in a venue of your choice. The funeral for Mrs R was held in a local village hall with over 200 people to celebrate a life of a wonderful woman with all her loved ones.

We can arrange the perfect goodbye for your loved ones, exactly how you want in a venue of your choice, nothing is impossible with the right planning

We’re proud of our team who help make this happen, Wayne, Steve, Dean, Andy, Ged and Dorset Carriage Masters, I can’t thank you enough 🎩

Dear Mr Rust.

I would like to express my extreme thanks for your services for the funeral of my beloved wife Mrs R who passed away suddenly on 4th November 2025.

Of every task we asked of you, you made it possible, absolute bespoke.

We asked for a large venue, we needed a celebrant to conduct the service, (Steve Richards a wonderful man) we asked for pinboards for photos and tables for family albums, we asked for a slide show while music played, we asked for a high standard of catering and a bar.

Cars of the highest standard with dedicated staff.

You Sir have given a service beyond our expectations with such professionalism, for which the family and I are truly thankful.

Yours Sincerely

Mr R
