✨ What Does Reiki Mean? ✨
A look at the Japanese kanji 靈氣

The word Reiki is made of two kanji:

🔹 靈 (Rei) – meaning spirit, soul, sacred, divine
🔹 氣 (Ki) – meaning life force, breath, energy

Together, 靈氣 (Reiki) can be translated as:
“Spiritual energy” or “Sacred life force.”

This is not energy we control or direct—it is the Great Bright Light that flows through all of life. In the system of Reiki, we don’t use this energy to fix—we become still and remember it is already within us.

Reiki is not something you do.
It is something you become.
