What a day yesterday at the Unicare Christmas party!!

After we got over the excitement of the real reindeer arriving, along came the guests…and then it was 4 o’clock!!

We would like to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts who donated prizes, money, time and effort to help us with our day. It was spectacular from start to finish and was only possible because of the organisation and prep beforehand, the entertainment on the day, and the clean up team afterwards.

Raffle prize winners will be contacted tomorrow to collect your goodies.

We can’t tag everyone on here but I’ll try and get round you all in due course… for now, massive thanks to Jackie Peebles on the disco, Harry Mudini on the magic and balloon modelling, Zoe Hamilton on the facepainting, Aileen and the amazing reindeer, and definitely the west end social club for not chucking us noisy lot out!! (And Jen from the bar for helping baz build a balloon arch!😂). Thanks to our helpers on the day (let’s see if your so keen to offer next year), Dek, Heather, Barry, Hayley, Gillian, Morgan, Karson, Konan, Jay, Cady, Charlie and Luke, Angus, Harley and Elliot, Good Job!

A grand total of £1,669.80 was raised for our charities: Forfar Grief Cafe, Andy’s man Club and Murton Farm.
Unicare will top this up to give each Charity £600.00 each.

2 week rolling set rota-

Forfar Area: driving or walking position

week 1: Monday AM, Tuesday AM, Wednesday PM, Thursday PM, Friday AM & PM.

week 2: Monday PM, Tuesday PM, Wednesday PM, Thursday PM, Friday 0700-1700, weekend pm shifts.

Arbroath/Carnoustie/Monifeith area: driving position

week 1: Monday am, Tuesday pm, Wednesday am , Thursday pm, Friday am & pm.

week 2: Monday pm, Thursday am & pm, Saturday & Sunday am & pm shifts.

Brechin area: walking or driving position

week 1: Saturday & Sunday am & pm shifts.

week 2: Friday am & pm.

We may be able to move some days/shifts around if set pattern doesn't suit ideally.

Unicare have been providing homecare to people across Angus since 2011. We have been awarded a Grade 5 from the Care Inspectorate!!

We are currently recruiting homecare assistants to assist people in their own homes with all aspects of daily living including Personal care, housing support and socialising.

Two satisfactory references will be required. Applicants must be willing to join the PVG scheme and register with the SSSC.

Full, paid training is provided.

We currently pay £12.60 per hour, (18.90p/h if you work on your weekend off) paid from beginning of the shift to end, not just per client, travel time given between houses which is also paid, no lost time for spaces in your route. Pension scheme, £50 every 6 months good attendance bonus scheme, £150 introduce a friend scheme and travel allowance included; 45p a mile/ extra if doubled up.

Free Uniform and all PPE is provided including gloves, aprons, masks, visors, anti bac wipes, hand gel, nappy sacks, soap, towel and your own pens all to reduce the spread of infection.
