📣 Huge shout out to Joanne and Laura 📣
Eight weeks ago these two sisters-in-law came into BodyWorks to try something different.
They already loved running and trained regularly, but they were curious whether adding strength work might help… even just a little.
Since then they’ve been coming twice a week alongside their running and working with Simone on their fuelling and recovery.
Last weekend they ran the Lossie Half Marathon — and both achieved fantastic PBs 🏃♀️🏅
But what mattered most wasn’t just the times… it was how they felt.
More energy
Less fatigue late in the race
Stronger legs in the final miles
Quicker recovery afterwards
Even fewer stomach issues while running
One message really stuck with me:
“I wasn’t exhausted — I actually had energy the whole race.”
And my favourite…
“Even at 45, I feel stronger and more confident than ever.”
This is why most people join BodyWorks.
Not because they want to spend hours in the gym —
but because they want life outside the gym to feel easier.
Running, hiking, riding, golf, keeping up with kids or grandkids… strength makes all of it better.
The gym is just the place we build it.
They came in for a trial and they’re now full members — and I’m honestly so proud of what they’ve achieved 💙
