Hi, I’m Katie – a busy mum of two, business owner, and long-time fitness lover living in beautiful Forres in the North East of Scotland. Fitness and health have always been a huge part of my life, and 12 years ago I turned that passion into a career. Since qualifying as an Advanced Level Personal Trainer with the European Institute of Fitness, I’ve helped hundreds of clients transform their lives – physically and mentally – across Glasgow, New Zealand, Australia, and now back home in Forres. I’m proud to introduce Bodyworks Studio – a brand new, fully equipped private training facility and Forres’s only small group personal training space. Small group PT offers all the benefits of one-to-one coaching with the motivation and energy of training in a supportive group of up to 6 like-minded people. Alongside small group PT, I also offer 1:1 Personal Training, Classes, and Sports & Remedial Massage Therapy – all tailored to help you build sustainable healthy habits that last a lifetime. When I’m not coaching, you’ll find me out adventuring with my partner, kids and dog – usually in the woods or by the sea (surfboard optional!). I love sneaking in workouts and sharing healthy, delicious food ideas too. I can’t wait to welcome you to Bodyworks Studio and help you become the healthiest, happiest version of yourself.

Not even snow and ice could stop this dedicated bunch making it in this morning 🤩❄️
This morning we kicked off the first of many educational seminars, and what a way to start.
Despite the weather, 30 amazing clients braved the conditions to join us for an eye-opening session on thinking beyond calories.
Our newest coach, Simone — a registered sports nutritionist — delivered an incredible talk packed with clear, practical advice, myth-busting insights, and simple strategies our clients can take away and implement immediately to support their training and everyday lives.
From managing weight more effectively to understanding how to truly feel your best, this session was all about education, empowerment, and long-term success 💪🏽
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and made the morning so special, and an even bigger thank you to Simone for such an informative and engaging seminar — I personally learned so much!
And this is just the beginning…

🚨 MEET THE COACH – SIMONE 🚨
Originally from South Africa, Simone grew up in Portugal before finding her way here – bringing a truly global perspective to the BodyWorks team 🌍
With a competitive background in athletics and powerlifting, Simone now trains for joy while expertly managing ankylosing spondylitis – a journey that deeply shapes how she coaches, supports, and empowers others. She’s been a fitness instructor and personal trainer since 2018, and is also a qualified and registered Sports Nutritionist, working with recreational right through to competitive athletes 🏋🏽♀️
Simone adds an exciting new level to the BodyWorks journey, bringing expert, evidence-based nutrition support into the studio. She has a real gift for turning complex science into simple, practical, real-life advice, helping clients fuel their training, build and maintain muscle, and perform at their best. Her expertise adds huge value to the BodyWorks brand, giving our community even more support both inside and outside the gym!
Outside of coaching, she’s a mindful coffee addict ☕, dedicated brunch hunter 🥑, and a proud mum to her daughter and Flash the whippet 💨 You’ll often spot her walking the beach with the family, hunting the perfect flat white… then heading straight back to the gym making people stronger — inside and out!

Happy New Year to all our clients, friends and families!
As we look back on 2025, we’re incredibly grateful. What a journey it’s been for BodyWorks — and we truly wouldn’t be where we are without your support. Thank you for trusting us, showing up, and being part of our community.
As January rolls in, here’s your friendly reminder:
No matter what the scales say or how much cheese you’ve enjoyed, you haven’t undone your progress or lost all the gains you made last year.
What you’re feeling right now is very normal and mostly comes down to:
• food still sitting in your system
• extra carbs holding onto water
• salt, alcohol, and actually enjoying yourself
So there’s no need to panic.
No need to starve yourself.
And no need to reinvent everything.
What does help is getting back to basics:
✔ moving a little more
✔ eating normally again
✔ easing back into a routine
If that looks like a few gym sessions and daily walks — start there. Small, sensible changes always beat drastic January overhauls.
This is Strongevity 💪

📣Exciting things coming in 2026… and the first is …
🚨 Meet Simone – Our Newest BodyWorks Coach 🚨
Some of you may have already met her in the gym, and others might have heard me mention that a third coach was joining the team. I’m so excited to officially introduce Simone to everyone here.

BodyWorks’ First Ever Christmas Party – What a Night!
Our very first gym Christmas celebration was everything we hoped it would be – and more.
1496 was the perfect venue, the food was absolutely delicious, and seeing everyone out of the gym setting was so special. Watching you all chatting, laughing, meeting people from other sessions, making new friends… it truly highlighted just how important this community is. ❤️
I honestly couldn’t believe how many of you showed up dressed in your finest sparkles ✨ and gave up your Saturday evening to celebrate with us. It means more than you know.
To every single person who came – thank you for making our first Christmas party so memorable. This wouldn’t be BodyWorks without you. 🫶

My name is Katie and I am a busy business owning mum of two and we live in an idyllic corner of the North East of Scotland in a wee town called Forres.
Being fit and healthy has always been hugely important to me which is why 12 years ago, I decided I wanted to make a career out of it in order to help others. I studied with the European Institute of Fitness gaining my Advanced Level Personal Training Qualification and haven't looked back since. I started my fitness career working in a small gym in Glasgow before packing my bags and moving to New Zealand. Over the years I have transformed hundreds of lives through fitness and healthy lifestyle changes in Glasgow, New Zealand, Australia and now Forres.
I was in Australia working as a Personal Trainer living the dream when I became pregnant with my daughter, it was then that I realised that I wanted my children to grown up surrounded by family and friends so we took the huge decision to move back to my hometown of Forres.
Whilst I was pregnant it seemed like the perfect time to add another string to my bow so became qualified in Swedish massage first and then a diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage whilst on maternity leave.
I now offer Personal Training, Online Coaching, Nutritional advice and Massage from my fully equipped private gym and purpose built massage studio in Forres. I focus on creating sustainable healthy habits with my clients both 1-1 and online leading to amazing physical and mental transformations. I see a huge variety of massage clients on a weekly basis ranging from sports and non sports injuries, chronic pain problems and athletes as well as people coming for maintenance work.
I am so fortunate to have found my dream job. Being active, healthy and fit is my passion, there are not many people that can say they get to do what they love day in day out. When I’m not at work you can find me out and about with my two young children and dog in tow, exploring the woods or playing in the park. I sneak in workouts whenever I can and love cooking so expect lots of inspiration and ideas from me.
