What is acupuncture:
Acupuncture originates from the Chinese Traditional Medicine that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body. It treats the whole body and can be used for many different health conditions as well as for general well-being. Some examples are, general and local pain relief, reduction of inflammation, stress reduction and threating chronic conditions like arthritis.
What is dry needling:
Dry needling is based on western medicine. It is a therapeutic technique to treat musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. It involves inserting thin, needles into trigger points—tight, knotted muscle bands—to reduce pain, increase range of motion, and release the tension in the muscles.
