We were at Rahoy estate this week taking down a huge Douglas Fir.
This tree has suffered greatly in the last few years due to storm damage, loosing 2 main vertical leaders leaving it hugely unbalanced. While cross cutting we discovered a huge cavity in the main stem adjacent to where the remaining vertical leader was attached. Scary stuff!

Some days the wind defeats us, started a tricky dismantle of a sycamore but called off due to not being able to control the direction of the branches falling 🌳🪾💨

Tricky dismantle of a Mature Ash tree, most of the branches had to be rigged out to prevent damage to the building!

More storm damage, this time in Spean Bridge. Lime tree couldn't cope with some fairly brutal gusts.

Love a Saturday job, huge Lawsons cypress endangering the house, client already had a large stem land on the roof during storm Amy so we've been in to strip all the branches off.
Once they're all cleared up, we have a couple of big dismantles to get into!

Really tricky one today. Nice healthy Oak tree fell foul of Storm Amy.
No option but to climb and Rig out all the branches and main stems using a neighboring tree. All went well with no damage from us done to the roof.
