"Honoring those we lost this year. Though the seat is empty, your light remains. Holding you all in my thoughts tonight."

The Empty Chair
The year turns over, quiet and vast,
Leaving the shadows of the past.
Though you didn’t reach this final shore,
We carry you through the open door.
No longer here to see the light,
Or watch the stars of New Year’s night,
But tucked in hearts, you travel on,
A steady glow though you are gone.

Happy New year from us all at Alexander Buchan & Son ❤️

A Season of You
The house is quiet, the fire is low,
But memories have a golden glow.
The chill outside can’t reach the light
Of stories told on a winter night.
Though you aren't by the hearth today,
You aren't really far away;
In every ribbon and branch of pine,
Lives a memory of yours and mine.
For love is the thread that holds the years,
Through all the laughter and the tears.
Of all the gifts beneath the tree,
Your spirit is the most to me.
A toast, a smile, a candle’s light—
You stay in my heart this Christmas night.

If Christmas is hard, if you've lost someone dear
Just look in your heart, and you'll know they're still near.

The star in the sky, the light falling snow
The robin outside, it seems like they know.

If this is a time, when you're struggling through
Just do what you can, for what matters, is you.

You don't have to be merry, there is no need to be bright. Just do what you can, it will all be alright.
