Alexander Buchan & Son is an appointed representative of Golden Charter Limited trading as Golden Charter Funeral Plans which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN:965279). We are a member of the NAFD (National Association of Funeral Directors) so you are assured of a sympathetic and understanding service. We are also a member of SAIF (National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors). Our office and rest rooms are located in Fraserburgh. We also have another office, Buchan Funerals, in Mintlaw. Both of which cover the whole of the North East of Scotland and offer a full 24 hour service. Our aim is to treat every funeral with our fullest care and attention and to be there for you in time of bereavement. All of our staff understand how difficult a time this can be and we are dedicated to providing you with quality support and guidance. Our services include:

Acknowledgement- The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all relatives, friends and neighbours for the many kind expressions of sympathy, cards, flowers, messages, baking and support they received following the sudden and sad loss of Stephen. Many thanks to Robin Wiseman for his comforting tribute and support at such a difficult time; to all at Alexander Buchan & Son Funeral Directors for their caring and professional handling of the arrangements, especially Zander for his care and guidance; to Pearl Wallace for the beautiful flowers; to The Central Church, Fraserburgh, for the lovely teas and baking and finally to everyone who came to pay their last respects and for the generous donations received in lieu of flowers for The Central Church Fraserburgh. Acknowledgement – Sandra, Andrew, Marilyn and family would like to express their heartfelt thanks for all the sympathy extended to them by way of visitors, messages, cards, flowers and homebakes on the sad loss of their mam (Evelyn) and the sudden loss of their dad (John). Grateful thanks to all the medical staff who cared for mam in her last couple of weeks. Acknowledgement - The family of the late Alexandra Louise Lovie give their heartfelt thanks to everyone who expressed their sympathies following the passing of their dearly loved Auntie Sandra. We thank Colin and his colleagues at Alexander Buchan and Son Funeral Directors for their guidance and their professionalism. Grateful thanks also to Rhoda Mcdonald for conducting an uplifting service. It was very special. Many thanks to Gordon Hay, organist, for playing beautifully, and for honouring Sandra with a reading from his Doric New Testament. We thank Pink Petal for the colourful spray of flowers and Maxine and her team at Links Restaurant for the lovely teas and relaxing venue. We also thank Morag, the staff at Jarvis Court, and the nurses at Saltoun Surgery who were all so conscientious in their care for Sandra. Finally, thanks to everyone who paid their last respects to Sandra and generously donated £ 229 towards Jarvis Court Amenities Fund. Rest Peacefully.

With great sadness we announce the passing whilst in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, after a long battle bravely fought with her family by her side on Sunday March 29, 2026, Janette, aged 80 yrs. Dearly loved wife of Jim Clark, a much loved mum of David and Andrew, a dear mother in-law to Leah and Gillian, a loving and caring gran to Emily, Jamie, Ryan, Luke, Jordan, Jemma and Charlie, a besotted great gran to Ruby and Olivia and a good, faithful and kind friend to all who crossed her path. A invitation is extended to all who knew Janette to join with the family for a service of thanksgiving and remembrance in The Assembly of God, Reidfield Place, St Combs on Thursday April 9 at 1pm, followed by the internment at, Kirkton Cemetery, Fraserburgh. Refreshments will be provided for everyone thereafter at Fraserburgh Leisure Centre. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Psalm 116v15. Flowers welcome. We are saddened and broken hearted to announce the very sudden passing at home, on Wednesday March 18, 2026, of Lauren Jane, aged 31 years. Dearly loved and loving daughter of Angela, adored mum to Sienna-Rose and Connor Junior, dearest big sister of James, Maria, Lacey and Anna, cherished grand-daughter, niece, cousin and good friend to all who knew her. Acknowledgement - The family would like to sincerely thank everyone for their kindness and support shown following the passing of our much-loved mum & granny, Sally. We are especially grateful for the beautiful flowers and all the messages and cards of sympathy, which have brought us great support and comfort at such a difficult time.
