🎄 PATIENT ANNOUNCEMENT – FESTIVE OPENING HOURS 🎄

Here are our opening times over the festive period:

✅ Mon 22 Dec: 8am – 6pm
✅ Tue 23 Dec: 8am – 6pm
✅ Wed 24 Dec: 8am – 6pm
❌ Thu 25 Dec – Sun 28 Dec: CLOSED

✅ Mon 29 Dec: 8am – 6pm
✅ Tue 30 Dec: 8am – 6pm
✅ Wed 31 Dec: 8am – 6pm
❌ Thu 1 Jan – Sun 4 Jan: CLOSED

✅ Mon 5 Jan: OPEN AS NORMAL

Important:

Requests for home visits must be made by 10am on the day.
We have limited clinical time with only one doctor most days.
Unless completely housebound, patients will be expected to attend the medical centre if they need to be seen.

When we are CLOSED:

For non-urgent advice, please call NHS 111.
For a medical emergency, dial 999 immediately.

🩺 𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗙𝗹𝘂 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 – 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱

We are seeing a significant increase in flu cases across the country, and to keep our patients and staff safe, we are introducing some temporary measures at the medical centre:

✔ If you have flu-like symptoms or any respiratory problems (such as cough, sore throat, or shortness of breath), please call us first and book a telephone consultation rather than coming in.

✔ If you feel you need to be seen in person, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴. Masks will be available at reception if you do not have one.

✔ Please let us know if you have respiratory symptoms when booking or arriving, so our clinicians can take appropriate precautions.

These steps are designed to reduce the spread of infection and protect vulnerable patients. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

📢 Patient Announcement

Crimond Pharmacy & Travel Clinic. have asked us to remind patients:

✅ When you request medication from the Medical Practice, please allow 3 working days before collecting your prescription from the Pharmacy.

⏳ If your request is sent later in the day, it will be processed the following morning—so timing matters.

This helps ensure your prescription is ready when you arrive.

A Huge Thank You from Anne!

Anne would like to express her heartfelt thanks to all our wonderful patients who came in with gifts and kind words for her retirement.

She was truly overwhelmed by your generosity and touched by the number of people who popped in to say goodbye in person.

We celebrated Anne’s incredible years of service with a fantastic evening on Saturday alongside the whole Crimond team – we hope it was the perfect send-off she deserves!

A special shout-out to Ban-Car Hotel for the fabulous buffet on Tuesday and to Heath-Hill Hotel for hosting us with an amazing three-course meal on Saturday night. Your support made these occasions extra special.

Whenever we can, we love to support our local venues – thank you for helping us make Anne’s farewell unforgettable! 💐✨

Our CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS TREE in back in our reception area for all the Pre-school, Nursery and Primary School Children of our medical practice. We would LOVE to see your homemade Christmas decorations adorn the branches.

So we would LOVE to do a swap.
If your Pre-school, Nursery or Primary School Child wants to design a lovely decoration for our tree then in return they will receive a small goody bag.

We CANNOT WAIT to see all the lovely designs!

What a privilege it was to have Dr Bob Murray and Dr John Kinnon join us for Anne’s retirement lunch yesterday! We even managed to capture this fantastic photo of four of our doctors together (though we missed Dr Masson!). Both Dr Murray and Dr Kinnon are looking great and loving retired life. Anne was absolutely delighted to celebrate with both past and present colleagues.

In this photo, Anne is proudly receiving her long service award, marking nearly 25 years of dedication to Crimond Medical Centre—an incredible achievement! Her last day with us is this Friday. 🥹

Now we’re counting down to the big Retirement Party this weekend— bring it on! 🎉

✅ Have Your Say: Review of Services at Your GP Practice ✅

We’re asking patients across Grampian to share feedback on six key services available at or through GP practices.

There are 68 GP Practices in Grampian – most are independent businesses, though they hold NHS contracts to provide care. We want to hear about your experience with services that help GPs focus on complex or urgent needs while other skilled clinicians support a wide range of health concerns.

🩺 The six services are:

1️⃣ Community Link Workers – support with housing, money worries, social issues, and wellbeing (including mental health support in Moray).

2️⃣ Community Treatment & Care Services (CTAC) – blood tests, blood pressure checks, wound care, ECGs, ear care, stitch removal, PICC line and catheter care.

3️⃣ Physiotherapy (First Contact Practitioner) – help with joint and muscle pain.

4️⃣ Practice Pharmacy Teams – medication reviews and advice.

5️⃣ Vaccinations – routine and seasonal immunisations.

6️⃣ Urgent Care Service – home visits for medical care or help managing daily activities at home.

📍 Services may vary by practice and might be called something different in your area.
