Our First Contact Physiotherapist is asking if there are any spare walking aids available. Please note these are adjustable walking sticks as per the photo below or very similar.

If you have one in excellent condition and no longer need it, weโ€™d be happy to take it off your hands free of charge.

Thank you.

Do you have any NHS Walking Aids at home?

Weโ€™re currently looking to collect NHS walking aids (like the one shown in the photo) that may be sitting unused at home. If you have one in excellent condition and no longer need it, weโ€™d be happy to take it off your hands free of charge.

Please drop any suitable walking aids off at our reception.

Thank you for your support!

After nearly 25 years of dedicated service, Anne will be retiring from Crimond Medical Centre on Friday, 28th November 2025.

Although weโ€™ve known this day was coming, itโ€™s still hard to imagine Crimond without her. Anne has been such a vital part of our team for so long, and her presence has truly shaped the heart of the practice.

To our patients and staff alike, Anne has been more than a colleagueโ€”sheโ€™s been part of the very soul of Crimond. Her warmth, quick wit, and mischievous humour have brightened countless days. Her deep local knowledge and insight into all things Crimond have been truly invaluable.

Anne will be deeply missed, both professionally and personally. We wish her all the happiness and relaxation she deserves in her well-earned retirement. ๐Ÿ’

Please join us in celebrating Anne and all sheโ€™s given to our community over the years.

This year the Aberdeenshire IJB committed to undertaking a Strategic Review of our Aberdeenshire Community Hospitals. The review was agreed to allow us to build a strategic delivery plan for how we deliver community-based health services for our population over the coming years. There was no budget savings attached to this review other than a 2.5% budget reduction which is a standard saving applied across all budgets.

The first stage of our review process is an information gathering one and we have been working with colleagues in NHS Grampian estates, Health Intelligence and Finance to look at all of the activity that happens in our Community Hospitals, how much that activity costs to deliver and where current and future demand is and will be.

We also need to hear from our communities to understand how people use our Community Hospitals and what their experiences are. To do that we will be holding drop-in sessions, and we would encourage as many people as possible to come along and chat to our teams.
