🎄 𝗔 𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 🦌

This December, colleagues, residents, families and friends from across all 27 Meallmore care homes came together to do something truly special.

Through our Meallmore Reindeer Run, we collectively:
✔ 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝟰,𝟴𝟬𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀
✔ 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 £𝟮,𝟮𝟲𝟬 𝗳𝗼𝗿 Cash for Kids – 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀
✔ 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟱𝟬 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀 to support children and families across our local communities

From walking, wheeling, cycling and adapting activities, to festive costumes, creativity and teamwork, this was a challenge that everyone could be part of — and that’s what made it so powerful.

More than a fundraiser, the Reindeer Run was about:
💚 Inclusion and connection
💚 Bringing people together
💚 Supporting families beyond our homes
💚 Showing what’s possible when communities work as one

A huge thank you to every resident, colleague, family member and supporter who took part, donated, cheered us on or helped make this happen. This is what makes Meallmore such a special community - and why we’re so proud of the people who live and work in our homes.

What a way to finish the year. 🎄✨

Meallmore’s Reindeer Run saw 27 care homes travel 4,800 miles, raising £2,260 and donating over 250 gifts for Cash for Kids.

What a fantastic afternoon spent playing one of our residents’ favourite games – bingo! 🎲

It’s always a hit, bringing out a little friendly competition while keeping our minds active and spirits high. 🧠❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined in and made it such an enjoyable time – we can’t wait for the next game!

Looks like Eric has been raiding the kitchen… but this time it’s all good - enjoying a tasty yoghurt instead of chocolate!

🚴✨ Star Participants at Crimond House! ✨🚴

Today, we want to shine a spotlight on two incredible stars who brought energy and joy to our home! 🌟

Lorraine, our amazing Activity Coordinator, hopped on the exercise bike and powered through with determination – we joked that being over 70 should let us double the miles (not that you’d ever know!).

And then there’s Moira, who only recently moved in but has already become a spark of joy, brightening everyone’s day. She jumped right in and pedalled away, helping us rack up those miles!

A huge well done to both for making fitness fun and spreading positivity all around. ❤️

🎄✨ Ending the Week on a Festive High! ✨🎄

After a busy and rewarding week taking part in the Cash for Kids Reindeer Run, our residents and colleagues enjoyed a well-deserved treat – an optional pyjama day, a cosy hot chocolate afternoon, and a fun-filled game of bingo! ☕🎅🎉

A huge thank you to all of our amazing colleagues who went above and beyond to make this week extra special.

You’ve truly made the Christmas spirit shine brighter than ever as we count down to the big day! ❤️

Our mischievous elf has been up to no good – Eric the elf was spotted at the hand sanitiser, keeping things squeaky clean while spreading festive cheer. 🧼

We love these little moments that bring smiles and laughter to our home during the countdown to Christmas! ❤️

Today at Crimond, we spent time chatting about what really matters to us at Christmas — family, memories, community… and of course a good laugh together. ❤️🎅

And in true Meallmore Reindeer Run fashion, we had to squeeze in a turn on that pesky exercise bike 🚴♂️💨 — Melvin would be proud!

A lovely day filled with connection, smiles and festive cheer. 💙

🎄✨ A massive thank you to Crimond Primary School for inviting us along to their Christmas Concert!

We had such an amazing afternoon – every single child did an outstanding job! 👏🎶

The festive spirit was truly alive, and we can’t wait to welcome them on Monday when they come to sing for us again. 🎵💫

Moments like these make the season so special for our residents and colleagues alike. 💙
