📲 DIGITAL HEALTH SUPPORT AVAILABLE THIS WEEK

➡ Do you need help with setting up or using the NHS App?
➡ Do you need showing how you can order repeat prescriptions via the NHS App?
➡ Would you like to set up a linked profile on the NHS App so you can help someone else manage their health care (also called proxy access)?
➡ Or perhaps you want someone to show you how to use our different online forms?

These are just some of the health related digital technology issues our digital support team can help you with. There are 6 opportunities to see the team this week, no appointments needed but do bring your mobile phone or tablet along with you so we can help you out.

An enormous thank you to all our patients for changing the way you order repeat prescriptions to ensure you 'Only Order What You Need'.

In just one year, this has saved the NHS over £278,000, saved over 22,000 prescription items and prevented 122 tonnes of CO₂ emissions, equivalent to driving over 535,000 miles.

We want to continue to make a difference and we can do this with your support. Top tips to help reduce medications waste are:

➡ Order only what you need
💊 Check medicines before leaving the pharmacy
🗣 Speak to a healthcare professional about any medication you no longer take
❗Return unused medicines to a pharmacy - never bin or flush them

We are really pleased to be able to offer a series of digital confidence sessions, starting soon.

Our first session is on the topic of staying safe online and avoiding scams, something many people have spoken to us about at our digital drop in sessions. We're delighted that the Avon and Somerset Police Cyber Crime Unit will be joining us for this session.

Menopause Group Discussion - date coming up soon!

Our Menopause Discussion Group is for patients registered with us who are considering taking HRT for the first time. Here are the details of our next group:

📅 Tuesday 10th March 2026
🕒 6pm to 8pm (you will need to be able to attend for the whole session)
📍 Frome Medical Practice

During the session we will talk about:

✅ Menopause symptoms and how they vary from person to person.
✅ Ways to manage symptoms.
✅ HRT treatment options, including benefits and risks.
✅ Alternative treatments, such as lifestyle changes.
✅ Signposting to other support resources

Starts tomorrow (Wednesday 4th March) - new digital health pop up session!

All welcome - no appointments needed, just turn up. The team can help you with health related digital technology issues, such as downloading and using the NHS App, using our online forms, ordering repeat prescriptions online and so on, and they can also help with more general IT issues if needed.

We offer digital health drop in sessions several times a week, where our digital health team are available to help with a range of issues, including:

✔ downloading and using the NHS App, including ordering repeat prescriptions
✔ using our website online forms (for example, for repeat prescriptions, change of contact details, blood pressure etc.)
✔ setting up linked profiles (proxy access) on the NHS App
✔ helping you use the links we sometimes send out by text message inviting you to book an appointment

Please come along and see the team this week if you need a hand with something like this. You don't need an appointment, just turn up but do try and bring your mobile phone or tablet with you if you can.

This is a 2 hour workshop facilitated by Young Somerset, which aims to help you help your child to meet everyday challenges.

It is an opportunity to meet other parents and share common concerns.We'll chat about what helps young people feel more confident in dealing with the ups and downs of life.

The Healthy Homes team from Frome Town Council will be offering half hour bookable slots for people to come and chat specifically about Solar PV for your home or business.
