We make art to remember. Elysium works with skilled British craftspeople to create beautifully made At Elysium we make personal, bespoke memorials .

We have developed a range of memorials from simple bowls and candleholders to bespoke commissioned pieces. Each artwork is made by a group of British designer-makers and artisans from concept to finish using traditional methods and only the best quality materials to produce something truly unique, personal and contemporary. A reflection of the life it represents and a contemplative heirloom to pass down through the family. Photographs and meaningful possessions get passed down through families as heir looms. Within our own throw away, fast moving world, what will be the objects we pass on to the next generations? Is anything made today worth keeping? Elysium Memorials makes unique, contemporary artworks, produced by local artisans in memory of a loved one. Beautiful objects, of the highest quality, to be handed down as heir looms through the family and made to reflect the lives of their beloved ancestors.

So pleased with our latest memorial sculpture.
The brief was to create something that would represent watching the stars in the skies of the Middle East.
We had a lovely trip up to Cumbria to build the base and place the sculpture.

I recently made this sculpture for a beautiful garden. The form is inspired by the bridges in Venice, a favourite place of the client, and the colours in the glass reflect the personalities of the couple.
It is also quite "pod like" in shape to represent their love of gardening and they are the 2 peas in the pod!

The beautiful glass we use at Elysium Memorials has to be blown using hot moulten glass and then cold work, cutting and polishing it to a perfect finish.

I'm busy in the workshop making a sculpture at the moment. Here's some tools to prove it, the sculpture will be ready in the next couple of weeks, so photos will follow.

I made this sculpture a while ago for a client, there's a big yellow piece of glass rising through the sculpture representing the movement of the sun. It's made from Portland stone.
I love my job!!

These lovely windows are in the chapel at Ampleforth school. Beautiful, subtle shades of heavenly sun and skies. Glass really sings when it's done well.
