Weaving these into her personal daily practice facilitates an understanding of energy flow and cycles, and the great wisdom in the totality of our mind-body experience. Joanne has her own unique style of restorative therapeutic massage incorporating techniques developed from bodywork teachers over many years, including acupressure points and energy healing. Using a combination of soft, firm and deep techniques suitable for your needs, and long rhythmic strokes help the mind and body to relax in tandem. My aim is to balance your energy, balance your muscles, and relieve pain and tension. Sessions can be targeted to problem areas or simply for relaxation, though usually it is a combination of both, bringing the mind and body to relax and rest, restoring harmony. Massage is highly effective to ease pain associated with arthritis, sciatica, headaches and migraines, fibromyalgia, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Massage therapy can improve quality of life by impacting mood, lowering anxiety and depression, and aiding deep restful sleep. Hot Stone Therapy is a uniquely wonderful experience, as smooth basalt stones are heated to a pleasant temperature and used in the palms of the hands to massage the body. This brings instant relaxation to the whole body and tension simply fades away in preparation for deeper massage, and detoxification is further enhanced. Prices for treatments:

CANCELLATION POLICY
At least 24 hours notice needs to be given if you wish to cancel or re-arrange an appointment, otherwise full payment will be required. Joanne has been settled in Frome for 18 years and has a busy Therapeutic Massage practice, assisting many people to a place of ease and connection within their bodies.

Joanne qualified as a Massage Therapist with the International Institute of Health and Holistic Therapies 20 years ago, and is also a Certified Traditional Usui Reiki Master. She has worked closely with teachers in Somatic Movement, Tai Chi and Chi Kung. Weaving these into her personal daily practice facilitates an understanding of energy flow and cycles, and the great wisdom in the totality of our mind-body experience. Joanne has her own unique style of restorative therapeutic massage, based mostly in the Swedish modality, combining soft, firm and deep techniques suitable to your needs. Long rhythmic strokes help the mind and body to relax in tandem, relieving tension in the muscles and relaxing tightness in the body, stimulating the circulatory and immune system and aiding the detoxification process. Thus relieving stress and emotional anxiety as the body and mind are inseparably linked. Deep tissue techniques are also incorporated where necessary to relieve specific problems and encourage recovery. Massage is highly effective to ease pain associated with arthritis, sciatica, headaches and migraines, fibromyalgia, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Massage therapy can improve quality of life by impacting mood, lowering anxiety and depression, and aiding deep restful sleep.
