A Shaman and a Witch
In Europe our Shamanic heritage was indeed Witchcraft. Our Shamans, Medicine Men and Women, our Herbalists, Healers, Guides, our Druids were destroyed, feared and persecuted - our heritage gone.
In Siberia, the Americas and Asia they protected their Shamanic heritage to a degree and it has continued and has seen a huge increase in its popularity.
Both practices have very similar concepts. Bath Shamans and Witches are very similar even though Witches and Witchcraft still, even today, carry negative connotations. This has to stop.
Both Witches and Shamans work deeply with the spirit world - each having one foot in the physical world and one in the spiritual world - a Walker between the worlds to bring about healing to human kind, spirit and our Mother Earth.
Whilst many portray Witches to just perform rituals and spells this is far from the case (although these practices can be used to create change). A Witch is a Healer, a Herbalist, a Wise Person, a Guardian of Mother Earth, a Keeper of the Waters, a Connector and Messenger of Spirits. A gateway between worlds. A Witch connects humans and spirits for the higher good and love of all involved.
A Witch heals at a deep soul level, she works with retrieving soul lost through trauma and grief and returns it whole and cleansed to those who have lost it. She enables and supports those who feel powerless to find their inner power and light once more. She clears negative trauma from energy fields. She heals with plants and herbs to those with physical spiritual mental and emotional ailments. She stirs the pot with positivity and love.
A Witch guides those who are in the dark into the light and brings them out of the shadows.
We must now destroy these old fearsome connotations that witches and witchcraft is wrong, bad or evil - they are the light bringers and healers this world needs. They work from the heart in love and in light. 🤍
