🚧 Important Notice for All Clients 🚧

We’ve just been informed with no prior notice that the public car park outside our clinic will be closed for the next two days to make space for a funfair.

Unfortunately, none of the nearby businesses were told in advance - leaving us all unprepared. This means parking and access will be more difficult than usual, especially for those with mobility issues and rely on this nearby parking.

There will also be increased noise and music during the day, which may affect the therapy environment.

If you’re visiting us, please use Ship Court Car Park (about a 5-minute walk away).

We completely understand if you’d prefer to rearrange or rebook - just send us a message, and we’ll be happy to help.
Thank you for your patience and understanding 💙

🐞 Exercise of the Week: Dead Bugs 💪
(With or without weights in your hands)

Why add Dead Bugs to your routine?
The Dead Bug is an excellent core stability exercise that targets your deep abdominal muscles, improves spinal control, and enhances overall coordination.
It’s safe, effective, and perfect for strengthening the core without putting unnecessary strain on the lower back. Ideal for all fitness levels and rehab programs.
Adding light weights in your hands increases the challenge, improving shoulder stability and resistance control.

How to do it:
Lie on your back with your arms straight above your shoulders and knees bent at 90°.
Engage your core, flatten your lower back into the floor.
Slowly lower your right arm and left leg toward the ground, keeping your back flat.
Return to the start, then switch sides.
Perform 10–12 controlled reps per side.

Top Benefits:
🔥 Builds deep core strength and stability
🧠 Improves coordination and motor control
🩻 Supports proper spinal alignment and posture
⚡ Reduces risk of back pain and injury
🏋️‍♀️ Enhances performance in lifting, running, and daily movement

Tip:
Keep your movements slow and controlled - quality over quantity! Add light weights once you’ve mastered proper form.

💪 Exercise of the Week: Wall Push-Ups 🧱
Why add wall push-ups to your routine?

Wall push-ups are a beginner-friendly and joint-safe variation of the traditional push-up that help you build upper-body strength while improving form and control.
They’re great for anyone easing into strength training, recovering from injury, or looking for a low-impact way to activate the chest, shoulders, arms, and core.

How to do it:
Stand facing a wall with your feet shoulder-width apart.
Place your hands on the wall at shoulder height, slightly wider than shoulder-width.
Slowly bend your elbows, bringing your chest toward the wall.
Push back to your starting position, keeping your core engaged.
Repeat for 10–15 reps, focusing on smooth and controlled movement.

Top Benefits:
💪 Strengthens chest, shoulders, triceps, and core
🩻 Improves posture and shoulder stability
⚡ Builds foundational strength for standard push-ups
🤕 Low-impact and easy on the wrists and shoulders
🏃‍♀️ Perfect warm-up or rehab exercise for all fitness levels

Tip:
As you get stronger, step your feet further from the wall to increase the challenge!

🦵 Exercise of the Week: Calf Raises (on the Bottom Step) 💪

Why add calf raises to your routine?
Calf raises are a simple yet powerful exercise that strengthen your lower legs, improve balance, and support ankle stability. Performing them on a step adds a greater range of motion, giving your calves a deeper stretch and a stronger contraction - perfect for building both strength and mobility.

How to do it:
Stand on the edge of a step with your heels hanging off.
Slowly lift your heels as high as possible.
Lower them down below the step for a full stretch.
Move with control and repeat for 10–15 reps.

Top Benefits:
🔥 Strengthens calves, ankles, and feet
⚡ Improves balance and stability
🏃‍♀️ Enhances running, jumping, and walking performance
💪 Supports knee and Achilles tendon health
🩻 Helps prevent injuries through better lower limb control

Tip:
For an extra challenge, try performing them single-legged or add light weights for resistance!
