🌺 Remembrance Sunday 🌺

Today, we pause to honour and remember the brave men and women who served and sacrificed for our freedom. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten. ❤️

We would also like to invite our families and friends to join us on Tuesday, 11th November, as we continue our Remembrance commemorations.

We’ll begin with a minute’s silence at 11am, followed by a special performance from the wonderful Rochelle Ayris, who will be singing beloved 1940s classics to take us back in time and celebrate the spirit of that era. 🎶

Please join us as we reflect, remember, and share this meaningful day together.

🚧 Important Notice for Visitors – Sunday 9th November 🚧

Please be aware that all access to Grosvenor House Care Home via Walkerith Road will be closed from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM tomorrow due to the Gainsborough 10KM Run.

🚑 Only emergency services will have access during this time.

If you’re planning to visit us, please arrange your visit outside of these hours.

However, from 10:15 AM onwards, you will be able to access Carr Lane and walk the short distance to the home if you wish to visit earlier in the day.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation — we appreciate your support while our local community enjoys this great event! 🏃‍♀️💙

A huge heartfelt thank you to all our wonderful families and friends for joining us and helping make our Firework Celebration a night to remember. ❤️🎆

Good food, great company, lots of smiles — and plenty of memories made!

And we have to ask… who tried the lemon curd and marshmallow sausages? 👀🔥 They were certainly a talking point!

To our fabulous team: thank you for pulling together, as always, to create magical evenings like this. We couldn’t do it without your hard work and passion. 💛

🔥 Bonfire Night at Grosvenor House Care Home! 🔥

Join us this Wednesday 5th November, 4:30–6pm for an evening of great food, fun, and fireworks! 🎆

Our delicious menu for the night includes:
🍔 Homemade Smash Burgers
🌭 Giant Pork Sausages
🥩 Beef, Stilton & Blueberry Sausages – a local legend! These special sausages were originally made for Gainsborough Trinity Football Club when they played in the FA League!
🍋 Lemon Curd & Marshmallow Sausages (yes, really!)
🌶️ Chilli con Carne
🥔 Jacket Potatoes
🧀 Homemade Nachos

Food will be served from 4:30pm, followed by our firework display at 6pm to finish the evening with a bang! 🎇

Please let us know if you’ll be attending so we can make sure there’s plenty to go around – we can’t wait to celebrate with you! ❤️

🌿 Introducing Our “5 Mile Gallery” at Grosvenor House! 📸

We’re thrilled to share our brand-new “5 Mile Gallery” — a stunning collection of nature photography, all captured within just five miles of Gainsborough (and some even less than a mile from our front door!). 🌼🌳 All of these beautiful images have been stunningly captured by our neighbour Des!

These beautiful local scenes now line our corridors, bringing the beauty of our surroundings indoors for everyone to enjoy. Residents, visitors, and staff alike can take a stroll through the gallery and appreciate just how much natural wonder we have right here on our doorstep.

It’s a lovely reminder that sometimes, you don’t have to go far to find something truly special. ❤️

We’re thrilled to announce a brand-new intergenerational music session starting right here at Grosvenor House — hosted by Jack in the Box Musical Memories🎵👶🧓

Join us on Tuesday 21st October at 11am for our first session filled with music, laughter, and connection between generations. Parents and their babies/toddlers are invited to come along and share this special experience with our lovely residents. Best of all — it’s completely FREE! 💛
