Loving husband of Janet. Loving dad of Diane and Colin. Father in law to Stephen and Sam. Grandpa to Jenna, Sean, Emma and Lily. Great grandpa to Faye and brother to Ian and the late Bert.

Funeral will take place on Monday 2nd March at 11am at Borders Crematorium Melrose

Peacefully at The Margaret Kerr Unit on Friday 6 February 2026, Alastair, beloved husband of the late Margaret.
Much loved dad of Valerie, Neil and Angela. Dear father-in-law to Joanne and Paul and loving papa to James, Rachel, Hannah, Katie, Conor and Finlay. Much loved brother of Murray and a loving brother-in-law, uncle and cousin.

Alastair's funeral, to which all friends are welcome, will take place on Monday 23rd February at Galashiels Church of Scotland at 12 noon thereafter to Borders Crematorium for 1pm. There will be an opportunity to donate to Prostate Scotland and The Margaret Kerr Unit in memory of Alastair.

Service will take place at Borders Crematorium on Tuesday 3rd February at 1pm to which all are welcome. Everyone is welcome to continue sharing memories of Jim at Chirnside Community Centre from 2.45pm.

Suddenly on Monday 12 January 2026 at Borders General Hospital, Isobelle, beloved wife of Bill. Much loved mum and mother- in - law to Vanessa and Thomas, devoted granny to Aaron and Josh, dear sister to Eleanor and adored auntie and special friend.
A service will take place at Borders Crematorium on Thursday 12 February at 12 noon followed by an interment at Earlston Cemetery at 1.15pm to which all are welcome.

Family flowers only please but there will be an opportunity as you leave the crematorium to make a donation to Borders Pet Rescue.
Please wear a splash of yellow at the families request.

There will be a Celebration of Her Life at The Church of Nazarene in Perth on Monday 26 January at 1pm to which all are welcome.

There will be an opportunity as you leave to make a donation to Cornhill MacMillan Centre and selected charities close to Helen's heart. Committal service private.

FUNERAL OPERATIVE REQUIRED

We are looking for an additional member to join our friendly team.

Duties will include on call duties on a rota-system.
Casual hours as and when required. Would suit someone who has retired early or has other flexible work.
Due to contractual obligations you must live no more than 30 minutes from Galashiels.

Candidates should be physically fit, have a clean driving license as well as a respectful manner to ensure families are cared for with dignity and respect at all times.

This is not a full/part time post. This is on average 1 - 2 weeks per month with additional cover when required.

Peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Sunday 11 January 2026, Mary (nee Kelly), beloved wife of Moray. Dearly loved mum of Leagh and Ryan and mother-in-law of Andy. Much loved and special gran to Eryn, Mary and Finn. Loving sister to Frances and Sheila.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady and St. Andrew R.C. Church, Galashiels on Thursday 29 January at 12 noon, thereafter to Eastlands Cemetery for 1pm approx. All friends are welcome to attend the church and the cemetery.
As you leave the church, there will be an opportunity to donate to Harris Trust in memory of Mary.
