We are very proud to share Allan’s news.

At last night’s meeting, the Braw Lads' Executive Council approved the recommendation by the Past-Presidents to appoint Allan Doyle as the next President of the Braw Lads' Gathering.

Allan was born and bred in Gala, and has followed the Gathering since he was a boy. He joined the Town Band 45 years ago in 1981 and one of his biggest achievements with the Band is getting them back to a place where they were able to play again on Braw Lads’ Day in 2019, and at every Gathering since, something we are all extremely proud of.

He is married to Awdri, and has two daughters, Niamh and Rachael.

Allan is greatly honoured to have been appointed President of the Gathering and is looking forward to the Braw Lads' Gathering 2026!

Congratulations Allan! 🏁
