Flu is definitely here and hospitals are struggling. If eligible, PLEASE come to the practice anytime from 0800 to 1800 Monday to Friday(no appointment needes) and we will give you the vaccine ASAP. Help protect yourself and your loved ones. We have limited vaccines left now so come before we run out.

We’re pleased to announce the next date for our PCN monthly menopause support group: Tuesday, 6th January, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.

Once again, the sessions will be nurse-led and supported by our social prescribers, offering a safe and welcoming space for patients within the Central South population to receive support, guidance, and education around menopause and wellbeing.

The session will take place at:
Easington Communal Lounge
(Adjacent to Wrekenton Medical Group car park, NE9 7LH)

Tickets are free, booking simply helps us keep track of numbers.

Retirement news: After 30 odd years of dedication, Dr V Kaura has decided to retire and enjoy family time (especially with his grandchildren). His last official day is Wednesday 17th December 2025. He has been great though all of the NHS changes and we wish him the healthiest and happiest retirement. What a scholar and a gent (and a great GP). Thank you Dr Kaura. PS. Dr Kaura is on the right in this picture taken outside the croft where it all started for him.

We have a COVID clinic at the practice on Monday 10th November 0900 to 1330 as booked appointments. Please speak to reception to book the appointment. We note the criteria changed this Autumn to just the over 75 year olds and those who are immunosuppressed.

Can anyone make use of these crutches? They were handed in a while ago and seem fine (the NHS can't take them back for some reason). If you can use them, just pop up to the practice and take them away.
