Former patient Chloe had these wonderful words about her journey, and experience of the unit 🗣💖👶

"Our fertility journey started back in 2018, when my husband and I tried for quite a while to have a baby. When things didn’t go to plan, we were referred to a fertility clinic, where we stayed for two cycles of IVF.

"Fast forward to 2023, when we decided to be re-referred to the QE Gateshead Fertility Unit, which was the best decision we ever made. From our very first consultation, we felt so much more at home and at ease.

"After 6 previous losses we became pregnant again in December 2025 on our 10th embryo transfer, and on August 7th, 2025, we welcomed our perfect little boy, Michael.

"There aren’t enough words to express how thankful we are to the team at Gateshead’s Fertility Clinic. They are simply outstanding and go above and beyond in everything they do. They will forever hold a place in our hearts. Thank you always!"

"After getting married in late 2024, we started our IUI treatment at Gateshead Fertility Unit in January 2025 and were lucky enough to fall pregnant on our 3rd try in March.

"Our beautiful little girl, Olivia, was born 2 weeks early on 18th November, weighing 7lb 2oz.

"We want to say a huge thank you to all the incredible staff at Gateshead Fertility Unit who kept us well informed and supported throughout the whole process. Everyone was so friendly and kind and we're so grateful to them for helping us to make our dream of starting a little family come true!"

"Thank you to Gateshead fertility for giving us our daughter.After three years of unsuccessful trying we were referred for IVF treatment.

"We had our egg retrieval in September 2023 but unfortunately couldn’t have fresh transfer due to OHSS. Fast forward to December 2023 we had a frozen transfer, the two week wait felt like a lifetime. We received the call the week before Christmas to say we had been blessed with a Christmas miracle. I was pregnant.

"We had our beautiful daughter Elle a month earlier than planned in July 2024.
I will forever be eternally grateful to the team for all they done for us they are amazing!

"We now have a very cheeky 17 month old, we couldn’t imagine life without her 🩷"

"In August 2024 we began our IVF journey with the unit after trying for a baby unsuccessfully for almost 3 years.

"From the first chat with staff, we were totally put at ease. We had our retrieval in November 2024, but were unable to have a fresh transfer because I had a mild case of OHSS. So 13 embryos were put to freeze.

"Fast forward to February 2025, I had my first transfer- which was a lucky one- falling pregnant on our first try. On November 6th we had our beautiful little boy, Dougie. We feel so lucky to have him, to have had the journey we had. And now we get to celebrate Christmas with someone who was our wish last year 💙"

"After a long 7 years of trying for a baby and after two unsuccessful rounds with another clinic we took the plunge to change to Gateshead fertility and I’m so glad we did.

"Our darling 5AA embryo was born 3rd December 2025 weighing 8lbs 4oz. Our beautiful little George would have never been possible without the care and support from EVERYONE at Gateshead fertility. You all really are the biggest Christmas miracles and have given us the best early Christmas present we could ever wish for!
