Menopause Support Group - are you going through the menopause and interested in joining a monthly session to share experiences and receive support?

This support group is open to anyone registered with a GP practice in the Gateshead Central/South Primary Care Network.

The practice will be closed today from 1pm for Gateshead-wide staff training. We will reopen at 8am on Thursday 13th November. If you require medical assistance which cannot wait until the surgery reopens, please call 111. For minor ailments, you can visit your local pharmacy. In a medical emergency, please call 999.

Urgent Treatment Centre – right care, right place

Blaydon UTC is open 8am–9pm every day for sprains, cuts, infections and minor illnesses.

It’s quicker and more appropriate than A&E for most non-life-threatening conditions.

If you use the NHS App make sure that you select enable notifications to receive alerts from the practice, hospitals and other NHS services.

From Wednesday 5th November we will be operating a new triage system for appointments with our clinicians. We hope that this will be a more efficient way for all patients to obtain the care that they need.

As usual, you will be asked by our reception team the reason for your appointment request. You may be booked an appointment at the surgery, signposted elsewhere, or asked to submit an eConsult, so that a GP can decide who is the best person to treat you.

Please be patient and bear with us while we introduce this new system.

Appointments are now available for your free flu vaccination. Our clinics commence 1st October 2025 and you will soon receive an invite if you are eligible, with a link to book directly. Alternatively, you can call the surgery to book an appointment or to check if you are eligible.
